Not cute, but I don't feel sorry for them either. I guess I'm repulsed.

Chubby pets are just as cuddly as any other, but if you mean the kind of morbidly obese animal that's primarily fed on table scraps - I do feel bad for them.

2 people I know have fat cats, and they like to cuddle. I don't feel sorry for them they eat their normal food.

I feel badly for them because the owners are being irresponsible by overfeeding their pets.

Chubby is cute, but I've seen some animals so fat that I thought it was bordering on abuse - when they have trouble walking and jumping, it's time for a diet and more playtime. Some people have a hard time saying no to their pets though, they think giving food = giving love.

Those pics are funny. I guess I feel sorry for them but I also find them comic.

I'd feel sorry for them, if they were as fat as the two pets in the pictures they're obviously going to have a bad quality of life and most probably a shorter lifespan than they could have had.

It depends on how far. We have a cat at home that is "fat". But he isn't really that fat. If he weighed like 30 lbs, that would be a different story. So I guess I'm saying that I think chubby pets are more cuddly and stuff, but fat ones I feel sorry for.

Fat cats can be cute, but my in-laws have a pudgy little dog who we're sure is going to have a heart attack whenever she plays with our dogs.

My mom used to know a lady who had a bassett hound that weighed over 170lbs. Everyone on the block would feed him so she hung a sign around his neck that read: "Please don't feed me scraps or my doctor says i will die". It worked, he lost about 50 lbs.

Depends, a pet can be chubby and still be fairly healty, but I have seen some pets so fat that I did feel sorry for them. It's cruel of an owner to allow their pet to get that fat.

Agree with CryinOut. lashes 170lbs? That sounds more like a St. Bernard than a basset.

I feel sad for them. My friends dog is overweight and she is diabetic. It's so sad. I think if you have a pet you should maintain their diet and weight.

I love my fat chubby kitty (my avatar!). We've tried putting him on diets 100 times over, and we've bought lots of little toys and such that are supposed to make him exercize more... Sometimes it just doesn't work. :/

Having a fat animal is animal abuse. It is up to the owner to make sure they eat right and exercise. Are fat kids cute or do you feel sorry for them?

Both, really. I mean if it's a little chubby it can be very cute, but if it's extremely overweight it can be very unhealthy, so then I feel sorry for them.

Stupid? Is "stupid" an option? Seriously, I don't understand how they can eat that much.. I have a friend whose Rottweiler is pushing 300lbs. He's big enough to carry it, and talk about a scary guard dog! I don't want a 300lb ANYTHING jumping on me when it's pissed..

I have a fat dog, and he annoys the hell out of me sometimes. I love him, he's a really good dog but it's repulsive how he scans every inch of the house for a single crumb.
