Well, I have lots of different times to be at work, but I often see this guy in one of those Rascals or Power Chairs for handicap people whizzing down the bike lane. He wears a bike helmet and has a tall flag on his scooter.

Yes, a green Maxima always drives by the bus stop about 5 mins before my bus gets there. If I'm standing for a while and I don't see it, I know I missed my bus  |

No, but actually I have a marker person for my Thursday night class. When I'm driving to school, I can guage my relative lateness by how far up the street she is walking. She must get out of class at the same time every Thursday and walk home.

yes, a purple VW van passes me after I cross abridge if I am on time. Sometimes when Im late I see it passing me before I reach the bridge.

Not a marker car, more marker people! Depending on where we see three guys from a school near ours (one I know vaguely from a party...) then we can judge our lateness from them. Also a guy with an afro and one with a rugby shirt or hat that always pass us...!

Yes, actually. Every morning while I'm walking to my bus stop the car of one of the teacher's at my school passes me. I know that if she goes by, I'm on time.

there's some bum living out of his VW on the southbound stretch of the I-Turnaround who paints the current time on his windshield every five minutes. he's the only reliable source in town. and he's a friend of mine, too. and i worked out this thing with him where i spread the word that he's there and he gets me free ponderosa gift cards and..

Not anymore, but when I was commuting 50 miles to work...If I saw the red hyundai with out-of-state plates at the certain place, I knew I was okay. Then there was the fiero that I passed usually at the same mile marker. If I saw him early, it means I was late, and if I saw him later, HE was late!

I, too, have a marker person. He has a class at 1:00 in the same room as my class at 2:00, and I can judge how late I'm running by how far along to his next class he is. He's hard to miss, too... like 6'5" and big, with long, long hair and about six different Led Zeppelin shirts.
