I think it's a combination of the two--it's an actual warning, which would of course make people curious and therefore more inclined to consider buying a Ouija board.

Ouija boards are not real, so it's obviously just to scare others.

Ouija boards ARE real. They are a physical item. What you mean is that you don't believe they actually do what they claim to. In this case, you're wrong as well. They are certainly not toys and should be used with respect and used correctly. They're not meant for Halloween or as a prop for your next sleep over.

A warning just to scare kids. I've used one before and nothing's happened to me.

It's a warning to those who believe in it. I believe in them so it was a warning to me when I went and bought mine.

I'd say to scare kids because I don't beleive that ouija boards work. Because nothing ever happened when we used them, except when someone cheated and tipped the board.

I was always told that they had a real demon in them and that they are really evil. I've seriously never played one and I'd actually be afriad too.

Its just a game. If it were really dangerous, they would not be allowed to sell them.

"I was always told that they had a real demon in them and that they are really evil." LOL. I'm sorry, I'm not making fun of you, but that's just such a funny/ridiculous statement. I know you're not responsible for it. If you believe in the spirit world, then it stands to reason that you believe messages can pass back and forth. There's no 'Berlin Wall' between the two planes. The Ouija Board works like a spiritual telephone, but it needs respect because it does work. If you just jump in without care you may as well put up an 'Open House' sign on your front lawn and invite in every stranger who passes by. The Ouija Board works like that if you don't do it properly.

Milton Bradly make a huge profit from Ouija Boards, but they are not the only people who make them, nor were they the first.

Oh, I know. I just don't believe that the same company that makes Scrabble can really have the ability to contact spirits. I've never seen another type of ouija board, but I'm sure they're out there.

Neither...I think people who say such things are trying to look interesting with their "knowledge of the obscure stuff". People I heard talking about such stuff most are also the ones who get most stuff totally wrong. They just like to hear themselves talk.
