Roses. I know they're old and cliched, but I still think they're much prettier than carnations.

I'm not a huge fan of either, but I think carnations look really cheap. I'll go with roses

Carnations are nasty and tacky, like nasty tacky old ladies who smell of powder or horrid bouquets with babies breath and... kinda 70s daggy. that's what they are. But roses are classic and fragrant and come in many varieties.

(not that long stems, tacky florist hothouse roses aren't almost as apalling as carnations. That darn babies breath)

I used to like carnations better, but now I think roses. I really like tulips but that wasn't an option.

Carnation are what middle-schoolers give their "friends" to make them appear popular whilst attempting to humiliate those whom everyone knows will not receive any. I prefer roses.

Haha!! I forgot about that, that is right. We had that in high school, different clubs would sell carnations to be delivered to your friends. Probably because they are cheap, they'd sell those things for a couple bucks a piece!

Carnations don't mean as much to me. I mean roses are so handy...they smell beautifully, look beautiful, and can be used in everything. You don't see many romance novels including a bed covered in carnation pedels, now do you. Plus carnations don't dry very well.

*counts* 16 Females to 1 male. Well glad to see the opinions vary in sex. Personally if I were to give someone a flower, I'd just pick off a dandilion and hand it to them.... even if it is technically a weed.
