Probably no because it would be exploitive. But secretly, yes. I want a freakin' pet Velociraptor.
18 yrs ago - Wednesday 9/1/04 - 1:25:42 PM EST (GMT-5)
No, because they would probably have a drastic effect on the world.
18 yrs ago - Wednesday 9/1/04 - 1:29:26 PM EST (GMT-5)
itd probly cause caos.. i mean we had people protesting win scientists were cloning.. and thats animals that still exist...
18 yrs ago - Wednesday 9/1/04 - 1:32:02 PM EST (GMT-5)
No, I don't think I would want a T Rex roaming my neighborhood....
18 yrs ago - Wednesday 9/1/04 - 1:32:04 PM EST (GMT-5)
theres no reason to, we would end up killing them off again most likely anyway
18 yrs ago - Wednesday 9/1/04 - 1:38:26 PM EST (GMT-5)
Depends on the animal.
18 yrs ago - Wednesday 9/1/04 - 1:43:45 PM EST (GMT-5)
Yeah, I always wanted to see a live dodo bird. They became extinct in the late 1600's.
18 yrs ago - Wednesday 9/1/04 - 1:43:57 PM EST (GMT-5)
Most of them, the ones not killed off by us, are extinct for a reason and should stay that way.
18 yrs ago - Thursday 9/2/04 - 2:54:39 AM EST (GMT-5)
Two words, again: Pet Velociraptor.
18 yrs ago - Thursday 9/2/04 - 3:06:20 AM EST (GMT-5)
Only one or two for zoos or stuff, I wouldn't want to grind the evolutionary process completely to a halt by bringing back whatever species, regardless of it's competence to survive.
18 yrs ago - Thursday 9/2/04 - 3:17:11 AM EST (GMT-5)

You could actually say that, its part of the evolutionary cycle that extinct animals are brought back to life...when Humans have evolved to the technalogical level where they can resurect a dead species..., although that is risky philosophical ground

18 yrs ago - Thursday 9/2/04 - 9:31:13 PM EST (GMT-5)
Yes, I think it'd be great to bring back certain species.
18 yrs ago - Thursday 9/2/04 - 9:58:33 PM EST (GMT-5)
Yes, in a controlled environment.
18 yrs ago - Thursday 9/2/04 - 10:53:58 PM EST (GMT-5)
Well i see SomedaySoon has the right idea!

Sure, but i would assume that the scientists would be practical in choosing what animals to bring back. I hope they would know not to release carnivourus dinosaurs in to the wild, but i think it would be fine for them to keep them to study. I wouldnt mind the animals on the left to come back though!
18 yrs ago - Monday 9/6/04 - 8:19:22 AM EST (GMT-5)
A pet dodo bird would be cool.
18 yrs ago - Monday 9/6/04 - 8:47:12 AM EST (GMT-5)
Humans need to stop playing god with genetics and animal mutations.
18 yrs ago - Monday 9/6/04 - 11:05:20 AM EST (GMT-5)
^ That's what I was thinking. No, we should leave the dead animals be and stop playing God.
18 yrs ago - Monday 9/6/04 - 11:23:40 AM EST (GMT-5)
we killed them off we should bring em back.
18 yrs ago - Monday 9/6/04 - 12:22:07 PM EST (GMT-5)
How about bringing back an honest politician.

That may do us some good.

17 yrs ago, 11 mos ago - Wednesday 9/29/04 - 11:36:33 AM EST (GMT-5)
If it was an animal that was forced into extinction because of human activities then yes. If it's an animal that became extinct because of natural reasons (such as dinosaurs), then no.
17 yrs ago, 11 mos ago - Friday 10/1/04 - 11:01:47 PM EST (GMT-5)

17 yrs ago, 11 mos ago - Saturday 10/2/04 - 11:04:40 PM EST (GMT-5)
No. They died for a reason, it's not our place to bring them back.
17 yrs ago, 10 mos ago - Thursday 11/25/04 - 10:45:48 PM EST (GMT-5)
Depends on which animal they plan on bringing back.
