i work at a historical park, and at our staged wedding this year, and man pulled me aside and said that he'd like to paint me in my period 1880's clothing. he finished it a few weeks ago. he sold it to one of the ladies who works at the park. they actually are thinking of hanging it in the visitor's center.

I've done a couple, although figurative, and I've got a couple of realistic self portraits in pencil. I don't think anyone else has ever painted me.

I had to self-portrait in high school...it was a horrible experience because the teacher actuall told me I had a "difficult" skin tone to work with...God 10 years later and it still depresses me  |

Senior year in high school, I took ALL ART (and one other odd class I can't recall) and the final exam was a self-portrait. Mine was odd but I got good marks on it *shrug*
