I think the international image was not so bad when Clinton was president, so I guess Kerry might improve it again.

This is the main priority if you want to stop these 'terrorists' attacking, Kareng29.

It does, like any country with a bad rep. We just have to stop messing with the world when we don't know what we're doing. *coughbushcough* Perhaps, if our leaders were more diplomatic and helpful towards other countries... i daresay "kind", than our image would improve.

I don't think we can stop the terrorists from attacking. No matter what we do or what we don't do somebody isn't going to like us. It's like that for any country anywhere. It's just we're big, rich, arrogant, and ethnocentric. I don't think we can really do much to improve our image.

Germany and Japan worked incredibly hard and quickly to improve their image after they lost the dictators of WWII. The best thing would be to lose Bush Jr.

Of course it can, what kind of question is that? The only questions are, "Should they have to?" "Will they try?" and "How long will it take?"

yeah we will just have to save everyones ass from something major.....again...maybe we should cut off our international aid and start giving the UN as much backing as they give us. may be that will get our "allies" in line quickly.

Sure, i think during the Clinton administration the USA had a good international image, it's Iraq and Guantanamo bay which has ruined this image. Getting rid of Bush would be a start, and also getting rid of this arrogant 'we don't give a sh*t what anyone else thinks of us attitude' that some Americans seem to portray.

buddyloki, I hate to be blunt, but you're full of sh*t. All you have to do is take a look at a map and notice how small America is compared the the rest of the world. Other countries are perfectly capable of survival without the US.

isn't that what i'm saying you stupid jackass? let people start worring about them selves insead of always looking at us. we should also tell the UN to f*ck off. i'm tired of them saying "america hasn't paid there dues" yeah well america is there military power and america pays for the majority of all there expeinces.

The US in recent years has withheld their funding for the U.N. Though I have to agree that I don't see why they should care, at the most they are seen as an annoyance by the majority of people who have a problem with them.
