Has anyone seen Athens at the moment!? They're nowhere near ready for the onslaught of people. I can't imagine they've got the security up and running. But perhaps they might be better at that than building.

I think they're more likely to try something in the UK to be honest. Or wait for the US elections and try something there.

Well, I would hope that there wouldn't be an attack. I mean that would be terrible. But there's always a possibilty.

no intelligent terrorist group would attack the games because that's what we'd be expecting. if you notice, they have this little trend of hitting us when we're totally off-gaurd. take for example, say, 9/11. that attack was so successful because NOBODY expected anyone to do such a thing. i still think that they went a little overkill on security for this years games. i mean c'mon, Navy SEALS in divesuits?

'Blackout Hits Athens a Month Before Games' Why do you make such a deal out of nothing?I lived in Athens for 13 years it happens a lot there.Just because it took place before the Olympics doesn't mean "oh my god it's the terrorists" so get a life.

Angeleyesgr, I think you need to get a clue - you act like I wrote that article myself or something. I always update questions with news articles, that doesn't mean I agree with the articles though. Get with the program so you don't sound so ignorant, how long have you been on this site now? Olympics: Games Close with Drama Down to Last Medal

I know you didn't write it yourself and I'm sorry if I sounded ignorant but that's the way it is in Athens. So I want to apologize to you. And I've been here since October

Okay, thank you for the apology! I just hate it when people act like I am the media when I post my news stories - I just post everything I see if it matches a question I have, but I've been accused of posting only one type of article in the past when really that's the only side the media was reporting on. It's no problem
