I would agree that he died as a result of their actions. But it was also the result of the actions of his killers. George Bush and Rumsfeld aren't the only ones to blame here, but that doesn't mean they don't deserve some.

Nick Berg died because there are a lot of evil men in the world. He knew where he was going and what the risks were. This was not anyones fault other than the guys who killed him.

shaun and Andres covered everything I was thinking.

His father is looking for someone to blame because he can't help but feel that it was his fault for letting his son go.

And that's just dumb.

Nick Berg wasn't even in the military, so I think it's ridiculous to say it's Bush's fault for going to war. He went on his own free will and had his own agendas - even after Bush's people told him to leave, he wouldn't. Now to blame it on the war? Ugh.

I would blame it on the people who killed him.

smoogle, if you don't even know who Donald Rumsfeld is, I don't think you are in any position to call any of them an idiot, you obviously don't know anything about them.

I'm just glad his profile doesn't say he lives in America - I'm sure there are plenty of Americans who have no idea who Donald Rumsfeld is either, that's the sad thing of it

Bush started the whole war
He takes the blame for people killed in it
Why not a war on poverty?
17 yrs ago, 10 mos ago - Monday 7/5/04 - 8:27:44 AM EST (GMT-5)
Holy crap, he said that? Damn. What an a.sshole thing to say.
17 yrs ago, 10 mos ago - Monday 7/5/04 - 11:07:48 AM EST (GMT-5)
Bush may have started the war, but Berg WAS NOT IN THE MILITARY so it doesn't matter. Maybe you can say soldiers have died because of Bush, but even then all those soldiers willingly signed up so it's still not Bush's fault really. They shouldn't have joined the military - joining means you know you may lose your life, it's not a secret what the military does

Berg was different though. He wasn't in the military, and wasn't even contracted to work there. At first they said he went just trying to find work, but after his death it came out that he's gone to other countries to fight for his political ideals before. He went to Iraq to try to make a difference and change things, ON HIS OWN. In fact, Bush's military caught him, held him for a few days then let him go. When he was released, he was told his life could be in danger so he should leave Iraq. But he didn't.

It's not right he was killed, but it certainly had nothing to do with Bush's 'sins'.

A war for peace is like drating for virginity.Bush started the whole thing so its his fault for every person that dies, stays homeless, loses family or lives on the streets as a result from the war.Mind your own drating bussines. The only chemical weapon they found was sadams fart!
17 yrs ago, 9 mos ago - Sunday 8/8/04 - 2:31:11 PM EST (GMT-5)
He might have gone to fight because Bush said so, but Bush didn't kill him, the terrorists did. But I don't exactly have a solid opinion cuz I hate politics and I don't like Bush or Kerry or anything. But anyway, I think he didn't die for Bush's sins. He died because someone killed him.

AndresH, rock on.

Indefix? Dude... that 'war for peace is like screwing for virginity' adage died with DayGlo.

Sorry, but Nick Berg was an idiot.

angry nerd-Nick Berg went over as a contractor looking for work. He was not in the military. He also had ties to these guys. He knew prior to going what he could get himsef into. It's a shame that he's dead, and of course how he died. However, it had NOTHING to do with the president. This question should never have made it through.

17 yrs ago, 9 mos ago - Thursday 8/19/04 - 12:24:14 PM EST (GMT-5)
Nick Berg's father is responsible for his kids death because he was a part of International cANSWER an notorious pro Saddam group.

We wouldn't be at war if it weren't for Bush. I Nick Berg died an ugly death, maybe indirectly caused my George Bush. As I type this, I guess blaming Bush is a stretch.
