Good question. I'm British - judging from the huge influx of immigrants into Great Britain over the last 10 years, yes I would say it's appealing to some people. In terms of the people, the term 'Brits Abroad' springs to mind; a lot of British people see themselves as superior over their foreign counterparts while travelling overseas - I see it all the time here in Asia and it's cringingly embarassing, so I don't think we're 'liked' in that capacity. In terms of foreign policy, I think right now we're not liked and that's solely because of the Iraq issue.

Pfft, no one likes the US (in the media).
I guess it's a cool thing to bash the US and Bush.
But, most people, that I know who live here, like it pretty well.
*shrugs*
So I guess it depends on who you ask.
And I don't think anywhere is liked by the rest of the world.
