You know what I like the idea cause you have to be constantly reminded of your condition and that's like a harsh reminder, weird things could happen though, like maybe in a really delusional state (thought of two things but decided not to mention (!))...I don't know...or maybe the dude is just ignoring it in his living room.

No, that's ridiculous. If you're going to get effed up, you're going to do it whether or not there was a friggin coffin in your house.

I'm with megvicious. I personally would see it as kind of neat to have a coffin in my house. Dunno why.

I wouldn't care if they GAVE you the coffin. Heck, that'd be pretty cool to have around. But the fact that you have to BUY one - nah, that's not cool. No one should tell you how to spend your money.

^LoL This question is so morbid, I love it. I think it's a good idea. And hey, they're selling cheap coffins at Cosco's now, so you can pick one up for just a couple hundred. If it helps you stop doing drugs, then I would think you're really saving money.

No, this is dumb. A drug addict isn't going to be thinking rationally when they need their next fix. If they do die ,I guess they'll at least have their coffin picked out.

I think drug addicts already know of the consequences of their actions. This is pointless.

really.. what is the f-ing point? it seems to me this Sidney character is only doing this to "take his slavemaster attitude" for a nice little stroll. what an incentive to become a judge! i tell ya, some people like to push their personal disapproval to new levels, and people like this actually get off on it. this is not a proper court order, it's extreme personal bunk.

Anyone think he's not going to place the coffin in the middle of his living room? He'll probably stuff it in a closet or something.

I think this is a mildly stupid idea, nothing outrageous, but this is simply the kind of thing that might work with a very limited number of people, and assuming that this is a good fix is just dumb. most people would just cover it up and use it as a table, or use it to bury someone or something.

And at the end of the sentence he can sell it to buy more drugs!
