No. For a start, people won't judge me on my ethnicity if they can only look at my credentials, and not my skin tone. (I'm caucasian btw) Secondly I have no idea what sort of picture I'd include. I wouldn't want to include some crappy passport job, because then I'd look terrible, and you want to present your best light on your resume. And if I went to get the best possible pictures of myself, my resume would start looking more like a portfolio. As I'm only likely to be applying for technical jobs, that's not necessary.

Unless your prospective employment involves your looks, like acting, modeling, etc., this is a really bad idea.

uh...no, but it's pink and scented to give it a little extra (btw, I am a brunette) Just kidding...anyway, there was an art school that I was looking at when I was applying to colleges, and once they got to the part where they required I submitted a photo for my application, I threw it out.

I am pretty sure it's illegal to show a picture with your resume.

No, because I don't think it's appropriate. Unless they asked for it of course. then again, if they saw mine, they'd automatically hire me cuz i'm not white....<rolls eyes>

No, I've never thought of that. I have been corresponding with a TV show though, about possibly appearing on it, and when I write to them, I do include my photo.

I'm not in the modelling business, so its none their business. Plus, if I put a picture on there I wouldn't be able to fit all my credentials on. Putting a pic on would be very unprofessional, I think. As well as just odd.

i thought it would be a plus to include a picture of my largest ferret to convey to the pet store my ability to take care of my pets.

No. That's what an in-person interview is for. You're not supposed to submit a photo unless it is for a modeling job anyway.

I just recently updated my resume and I included a picture of me on it. I feel like it will help my resume stand out from others. I'm not excessively pretty nor am I completely unfortunate looking. It's just something that will set my resume apart from the next one.

No, that's not normal here.
but I had to fax a copy of my driver's license when I applied to my current job, so they knew what I looked like.
