I used to go to school with a kid who ate skin off his hands, but that might have been personal mental problems.

I go to school with this kid that obviously doesn't bath more than once a month or so. His hair is plastered to his head with grease and he just reeks. I now know to hold my breath whenever he's near.

^^Have you ever talked to a counselor about it? Maybe he has a bad home life or is abused, or has a disability people don't know about? I'd talk to a counselor or school nurse and try to get some help for him if you can, that would be a really nice thing to do. I went to high school with a girl that always had really greasy hair and dirty clothes. Everyone was nice to her though because we all felt sorry for her. One day she wore a short sleeved shirt to school and we saw her arms were covered in cigarette burns - her parents had abused her, but no one knew it despite the fact she came to school in a way no parent would let a child out of the house. I wish now I would have helped her more.

A friends ex works with a guy whos personal hygiene (or lack thereof) was legendary. This was at an insurance firm. He didn't wash (and I mean ever) didn't change his clothes. Had nits, had body lice. He also used to masturbate constantly including in the office, so his clothes were caked in dried semen. The only time he even got a reprimand, apparantly, was due to his habit of taking his willy out and literally rubbing up against the female staff. I cannot even begin to comprehend how this guy could hold down his job. I'd have fired him twenty times over and literally thrown him out, preferably whilst wearing a hazmat suit.

Yes, and I just noticed it. A woman here, a very nice woman, just moved up to my floor and a day later I went to talk to her. I could smell her from a cubicle away.

I work with a guy who wears the same clothes for at least a week at a time, even in the summer. We don't work in an air conditioned office (not that it would make a difference) but we work in a factory that is consistantly above 100 degrees F in the summer time. Just last night, and this is no lie, he was telling us about how his new pet parrot sh*t on him while sitting on his shoulder. Sure enough, he had the poo stains down his back. I know this sounds incredible, but I swear to God, it's true!!!

"Had nits, had body lice. He also used to masturbate constantly including in the office, so his clothes were caked in dried semen." OK, either that is just some pepped up rumor, or he had (has, whatever) some serious mental problems, when he couldn't realize his effect on his social enviroment.

"Clothes were caked in dried semen." Wasn't Monica Lewinsky, was it?

To be honest I think whatever the hell was up with him, he certainly didn't know or care about the effect he was having. And no, it's not pepped up. All that is true.

Then it's serious mental problems... it could also just be a over grown rat; I hear they grow to quite a large size nowadays.

There is one man where I work that always smells like feces. He doesn't look dirty and he doesn't wear the same clothes. I'm not sure why he smells like that.

No. I'm probably the least hygenic of anyone around here. But I'm not that bad! I just need a shave. And a haircut. And a new pair of glasses. Some of these problems are cheaper to fix than others.

Oh my gosh I used to work in a cubicle next to a lady like that - she wore some cheap dime store sh*t and sprayed it on every morning first thing and every time she came in from a cigarette. The morning made me gag because everything makes me gag in the mornings, and every other time of the day it made me gag because the smoke and that foul fragrance combined into a mutant funk. It was absolutely terrible, I dreaded hearing her drawer open and that little spray bottle come out
