The Great Gatsby always got me, but the movie that really made me cry the first time around, which never happens beleive me, was Dead Poets Society.

It was a TV Movie called "David", it aired in 1988. It was about the life of David Rothenberg. PLOT: David is a six-year-old boy who is caught in the middle of his two feuding (& divorced) parents. His father, Charles, kidnaps him to California, where he eventually sets him on fire as a means of revenge against Marie, David's mother (Young David receives third-degree burns over 90% of his body). This movie chronicles David's struggle to recover and the obstacles he faces along the way.

Cap'n....I have to agree. "Grave of the Fireflies" is the saddest movie I've ever seen. Despite it being an animated film, the sense of loss and despair of two children living through the firebombing of their city comes through. This is one film which will bring you to tears.

awakenings has robin williams in it, but its kinda hard to find- ive only seen it once. Its about people who have been in a coma (due to some rare disease) and a new medicine wakes them up- its pretty good
