So did I ValGal, but my favorite is Mallrats. I also liked Dogma a lot.
18 yrs ago, 8 mos ago - Friday 9/19/03 - 3:22:37 PM EST (GMT-5)
I've seen 4 of the movies listed and hated three of them. Dogma was awesome, though, and would win my vote even if not by default.

Dogma was the only one I hated, I felt awful and sacreligious watching it and I'm not even Catholic
18 yrs ago, 7 mos ago - Monday 9/22/03 - 6:41:46 PM EST (GMT-5)
Hahaha, that is so stupid,Kiki.
Anyway, I say Mallrats, or Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back
18 yrs ago, 7 mos ago - Monday 9/22/03 - 7:02:25 PM EST (GMT-5)
I don't think it's stupid at all, KikiPeepers. I didn't take it very seriously. There were good questions about religion, yet it was somewhat tongue-in-cheek because it was operating under the premise that God exists and it's the people who are screwed up.
18 yrs ago, 7 mos ago - Monday 9/22/03 - 7:05:09 PM EST (GMT-5)
I loved Dogma, and I watch it everytime it's on!
18 yrs ago, 7 mos ago - Tuesday 9/23/03 - 6:15:22 AM EST (GMT-5)
I liked them all. Dogma was the best movie, following closely by Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, which is my favorite. Chasing Amy was the worst of them.
18 yrs ago, 7 mos ago - Tuesday 9/23/03 - 6:22:48 AM EST (GMT-5)
dogma was the best
then chasing amy

i didn't really like the rest, and Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back was so phucking lame in comparison that it made me sad.

18 yrs ago, 7 mos ago - Tuesday 9/23/03 - 6:24:55 AM EST (GMT-5)
Mallrats and Dogma, I cant choose which.
18 yrs ago, 7 mos ago - Tuesday 9/23/03 - 6:28:54 AM EST (GMT-5)
Dogma is the funniest, by far.
I agree with ntrop, Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back was lame.
18 yrs ago, 7 mos ago - Tuesday 9/23/03 - 6:53:14 AM EST (GMT-5)
I liked "Chasing Amy" second best. I thought things like her screaming out the confession of sexual history at the hockey game was hokey, and the kissing in the rain thing, and a bunch of other stuff, but I thought that was the point, too- to poke fun at such cliches. Also, the way we allow jealousy to destroy our relationships was very accurate.
18 yrs ago, 7 mos ago - Tuesday 9/23/03 - 8:08:36 AM EST (GMT-5)
Dogma is the best.
18 yrs ago, 7 mos ago - Tuesday 9/23/03 - 10:03:01 AM EST (GMT-5)
I liked chasing amy best and then dogma.
18 yrs ago, 7 mos ago - Tuesday 9/23/03 - 10:08:50 AM EST (GMT-5)
I can't believe nobody said "Clerks". "Clerks" is, by far one of the funniest damn movies I have ever seen. Has ANYONE else seen this movie? It puts the other five to shame. It's also where Jay & Silent Bob were born.
18 yrs ago, 7 mos ago - Tuesday 9/23/03 - 10:09:29 AM EST (GMT-5)
I thought that Dogma was his best film. It was very clever. I've seen all but one of his movies (Maeday) and I only liked that one and Chasing Amy.

18 yrs ago, 7 mos ago - Saturday 10/4/03 - 11:26:35 AM EST (GMT-5)
Haha I felt funny watching Dogma too, & I am not Catholic either but I am christian. Mallrats is my favorite.
18 yrs ago, 7 mos ago - Saturday 10/4/03 - 12:01:43 PM EST (GMT-5)
Clerks. By Far.

I thought Dogma was overrated. I felt that the points made in Dogma could have been made with a lot less shock value; a lot of what happened in that movie I think just happened to piss people off, not to make a point.

18 yrs ago, 7 mos ago - Saturday 10/4/03 - 12:27:58 PM EST (GMT-5)
I love all 5 of the Jay and Silent Bob movies... Dogma is my fav, then clerks, then chasing amy, then mallrats, then jay and silent bob. the only reason that one is last is bc there's no real "point" to the movie, just making fun of everything. still, they're all great! also, i've heard of another movie that he did, called "vulgar", but have never seen it. anyone else ever heard of it?
18 yrs ago, 7 mos ago - Saturday 10/4/03 - 12:33:15 PM EST (GMT-5)
ohh, i just found out that he didn't direct that movie, a friend did. but it has much of the same cast and all, and he is in it. nevermind! :)
18 yrs ago, 7 mos ago - Saturday 10/4/03 - 12:34:43 PM EST (GMT-5)
Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back. I didn't like Dogma. Mallrats would be 2nd best.
18 yrs ago, 7 mos ago - Saturday 10/4/03 - 3:19:52 PM EST (GMT-5)
Vulgar sucked...this clown gets kidnapped & sodomized repeatedly by a father & his two sons from Deliverance...poor Dante
18 yrs ago, 7 mos ago - Tuesday 10/21/03 - 4:34:49 AM EST (GMT-5)
Clerks wasn't bad.
