not really. i always pay unless she says she wants to split. i've had some dates where the girl would insist on paying because she was "liberated" or some crap like that.

Sure, sometimes. persona, why is that so wrong? Were you on the date to spend time with the guy, or to allow the chance to suck up to you enough to prove he was worthy of your attention?

I respect guy's desires to pay sometimes, but it's not fair for anybody to have a sense of entitlement to it.

Uhh..I don't really go on dates..we just hang out. If we do go somewhere, yeah, they pay, ha.

Yeah, it's strange, I've been out with a few people but I don't think I've ever actually been out on a date as such. Usually I only go out with people I already know and am friends with, so by the time we get to the 'dating' stage we're already so well acquainted and have been doing things together anyway that a date is a little redundant. So I'll have to say no, but if I did go on a date I would split costs, unless I was with someone who was low on money, or if we were doing something that was my idea, my treat or for my benefit (like her accompanying me to something I want to go to).

I never expected my boyfriend to pay for dinner - even before we moved in together, usually we'll split the cost, or I'll pay dinner and he pays tip, or he'll pay dinner, and I'll buy drinks later....etc
