I can't say that either is better than the other.

I have tried neither so I will get back to ya.
18 yrs ago, 3 mos ago - Saturday 8/30/03 - 6:34:01 PM EST (GMT-5)
I'm going with being burned to death.
18 yrs ago, 3 mos ago - Saturday 8/30/03 - 6:34:46 PM EST (GMT-5)
They both sound horrible but fire sounds worse...ugh.
18 yrs ago, 3 mos ago - Saturday 8/30/03 - 6:36:27 PM EST (GMT-5)
See I don't know I would think the the burning sensation would wear off after a few seconds. You would just be completly in shock. So maybe drowning.

Burning is the worst possible death, that or being eaten by squirrels. They're both slow and extremely painful. Drowning is faster than burning to death and no, the pain doesn't stop when you're burning.
18 yrs ago, 1 mos ago - Thursday 10/9/03 - 4:39:31 PM EST (GMT-5)
Fire seems much much worse.. Drowning seems like it could be, if you stop fighting it, sort of peaceful.
18 yrs ago, 1 mos ago - Thursday 10/9/03 - 5:24:40 PM EST (GMT-5)
I think fire sounds worse but then you have to remember most victims of house-fire fall unconscious from the smoke before they die. I'd prefer that, but if this question means burning to death whilst still conscious then I'll choose drowning.

Drowing. It takes a few minutes for you to actually die, so it would be torture.
18 yrs ago, 1 mos ago - Friday 10/10/03 - 7:00:27 AM EST (GMT-5)
Fire sounds worse to me, barring what estella said about dying from smoke inhalation, assuming then that the question refers to being conscious throughout.

those are two really scary ways to die. i would probably go faster drowning though ... ?
18 yrs ago, 1 mos ago - Tuesday 10/14/03 - 2:13:37 PM EST (GMT-5)
*shudder* they both scare me...I don't know, drowning is so horrible to me, it scares me more than anything, but I would think burning would be more painful.
18 yrs ago, 1 mos ago - Tuesday 10/14/03 - 2:16:54 PM EST (GMT-5)
Well most people think that burning would be, but the truth is, you die from inhaling carbon dioxide, not from actually burning. And the I've heard that drowning is very soothing, and not painful.
18 yrs ago - Tuesday 11/4/03 - 10:54:45 PM EST (GMT-5)
you've talked to someone's who's drowned? J/K i imagine death by fire is much more painful, drowning is more sudden, although I think either way is terrible b/c you'd be so panicked up until actual death
18 yrs ago - Friday 11/7/03 - 4:16:45 PM EST (GMT-5)
I think maybe drowning would be worse.
18 yrs ago - Saturday 11/15/03 - 5:36:26 AM EST (GMT-5)
both of them you suffer.....although I'm a pyro I'd have to say fire is worse....tha twould sting really bad.....but then pain would take away the fact you're dying......crap they both suck
18 yrs ago - Saturday 11/15/03 - 7:10:46 AM EST (GMT-5)
If I had to choose one of those deaths, I would choose drowning. Why? For the sole reason that my body would never be found. I'm fairly sure that people who died from a fire/fire related things, their bodies still can be found. I wouldn't want my family to see me all burned. I would like them to remember me the way I look now.
18 yrs ago - Saturday 11/15/03 - 7:16:44 AM EST (GMT-5)
Well, i reckon drowning would be one of the most terrifying deaths i could ever imagine- scares me loads just thinking about it! I mean, after holding my breath for about 50 seconds, my whole body is heaving for air and that feeling is HORRIBlE! i would hate for it to continue until i died! ahhh!
Dying from CO2 poisoning cant be as bad can it?
18 yrs ago - Saturday 11/15/03 - 7:20:25 AM EST (GMT-5)
Fire... can you imagine smelling your own burning flesh???
18 yrs ago - Saturday 11/15/03 - 7:55:44 AM EST (GMT-5)
Ugh....... I can't choose. Both of them are horrible.
18 yrs ago - Sunday 11/16/03 - 7:00:33 AM EST (GMT-5)
Whichever one takes the longest, then that's the most difficult one.
18 yrs ago - Friday 11/28/03 - 3:43:55 PM EST (GMT-5)
Drowning is a terrible death, but burning would be much worse. It would last much longer and be more painful and gruesome.
17 yrs ago, 11 mos ago - Thursday 12/4/03 - 8:39:49 PM EST (GMT-5)
Burning because once your nerves are gone, you can't feel anything. However, if it was ice cold water for the drowning, that would be better.
17 yrs ago, 11 mos ago - Friday 12/5/03 - 10:53:08 AM EST (GMT-5)
well i'd have to say fire b/c if by some chance u survive then u will have major scars! drowning is kinda creepy tho
17 yrs ago, 11 mos ago - Friday 12/5/03 - 10:55:03 AM EST (GMT-5)
But you wouldn't survive!
