yeah it was when my b/f exclaimed: We're not falling for that hallmark guilt trip to force us into being consumers for no reason, are we? and then I hid the presents I'd bought for him and said "no I guess we're not".

I’ve only ever had one, and although he spent a fair bit of cash he didn’t bother to think much about it and what he knew I liked – or find out what I liked.
I'm not into valentines day, I don't believe one day should be more special than the rest

Getting nothing sucks. (Which is what I usually get.) But worse was when I got half a dozen red roses and a declaration of undying love from this REALLY DISGUSTING friend of my brothers. UGH! I had to avoid him for weeks.
