Whether or not you have spiritual faith, faith in yourself and others is important.

I need faith in the fact that there will be a tomorrow...otherwise today would be useless.

19 yrs ago, 2 mos ago - Sunday 5/25/03 - 4:53:41 PM EST (GMT-5)
Yes, it does. Today is yesterday's tomorrow. Right now I have faith that after today, there will be a new day called today. For now, I refer to it as tomorrow, until it has proven itself to be tomorrow, based on today's values. Got it ? ;)

Faith that there will be a tomorrow is what will get you through. Without it, depression paranoia and fear set in.

faith is blind hope...people are so concerned with putting faith into things, it is sad...why can't things just go as they will go...why must we make everything so much more then it is...the answer is no...

anyone who said no needs to think about this again for a minute. the fact is that everyone on earth has faith. even YOU. even if you think you're following nothing but scientific "facts", all that means is you're putting your faith in science. you're having faith that the current most popular theories are the right ones, that nothing has been missed or overlooked in all the most current studies and experiments, and that "majority consensus" equals truth. even if you think that nothing matters, and that there is no truth for you to find, you're having faith that your assumptions are correct. some people put faith in spirituality some people put faith in the popular segment of the scientific community. some people put faith in "fringe science" which are the more theoretical ones on the cutting edege. some people put faith in the hope that nothing is real. some people put faith in the idea that truth is relative. everyone has faith.

even abracadaver has faith. faith that it's better to just "let things be" than it is to overanalyze them.

'some people put faith in the popular segment of the scientific community' is probably the closest category to me but I don't assume that scientists have not missed or overlooked things, I understand that as part of the procedure. I have a strong belief that the sun will rise, my bedroom light will come on, my beer in the fridge is safe to drink and my car will start tomorrow but i'm aware of the chances of failure. I have 'faith' that my family will always be there for me and that my girlfriend loves me but all these things have been strongly PROVEN to the extent that I believe them. I think I could honestly say that I don't have blind faith in anything and i'm loving it!!!!--theres so many things around me that truly are good --i don't need to just assume good things will happen without ANY evidence for it!

Yes, we need faith in ourselves more than anything else. If you don't have faith in yourself, you are hopeless.
18 yrs ago, 10 mos ago - Tuesday 10/7/03 - 1:53:55 AM EST (GMT-5)
Of course. I have faith in myself to get by since there's nothin' else up there to help me.
