18 yrs ago, 11 mos ago - Tuesday 6/3/03 - 7:38:17 PM EST (GMT-5)
absolutely, whether we like it or not that stuff is not american or English, it belongs to the Iraqi people.

WHO THE HELLS GONNA PROSECUTE THEM!!?? SADDAM!? once he steps into the limelight, were gonna take him full force and lock him up!
18 yrs ago, 11 mos ago - Tuesday 6/3/03 - 8:19:23 PM EST (GMT-5)
The US military higher-ups will prosecute them. *Dressed in Greek armour* I, for one, am all for it. What is the point of conquest if one cannot rape, pillage and plunder? Oh, suddenly we're too good for that. Right. I have Doric towns to raid.
18 yrs ago, 11 mos ago - Tuesday 6/3/03 - 8:26:49 PM EST (GMT-5)
Stealing is stealing. If its not yours, its stealing! The probability of prosecution or aprehension have nothing to do with it. Of course shooting people for a living can make your morals a little slippery . . .
18 yrs ago, 11 mos ago - Tuesday 6/3/03 - 8:34:19 PM EST (GMT-5)
You are right, stealing is steal and prosecution or apprehension have nothing to do with it. But when I defeat the enemy on a field of glory, I am entitled to his property including his land, treasures, and womenfolk. Mmmm booty.
18 yrs ago, 11 mos ago - Tuesday 6/3/03 - 8:50:20 PM EST (GMT-5)
My fiance over there has already *ahem* sent me some souvenirs.
18 yrs ago, 11 mos ago - Tuesday 6/3/03 - 8:52:29 PM EST (GMT-5)
But when I defeat the enemy on a field of glory, I am entitled to his property including his land, treasures, and womenfolk. But the enemy wasn't the country itself but rather an individual and his followers who claimed their riches from the other people. And that changes things.

We go in there to prove what freedom and morality is all about... hmm... tasty hypocrisy.
18 yrs ago, 11 mos ago - Tuesday 6/3/03 - 8:58:15 PM EST (GMT-5)
Do we not spend money to finance military expeditions? Why, only recently, did our economy develop to the point where we could send out large numbers of troops and pay them so that they would not have to divide up their forces to plunder. Indeed, our fathers Agamemnon and Menelaus were forced to send away many good Greek soldiers to gather supplies during the seige of Troy, thereby prolonging the conflict for years. LSD - really? What did he send you? Sand, turbin, AK-47?
18 yrs ago, 11 mos ago - Tuesday 6/3/03 - 8:59:34 PM EST (GMT-5)
Well, he sent me a burkah and a whole outfit that they'd wear. But he bought that fair and square, LOL. He's been sending me Iraqi currency and Iraqi military rank insignias, including some with stars.
18 yrs ago, 11 mos ago - Tuesday 6/3/03 - 9:00:10 PM EST (GMT-5)
These are luxury items, not supplies.
18 yrs ago, 11 mos ago - Tuesday 6/3/03 - 9:01:00 PM EST (GMT-5)
That, and the things he sent me, the Iraqi people will never need to use again. Who the hell would want to use money with Saddam's mug on it?
18 yrs ago, 11 mos ago - Tuesday 6/3/03 - 9:03:21 PM EST (GMT-5)
Well if thier luxury items...I say better hurry and get on ebay and sell that ****.
18 yrs ago, 11 mos ago - Tuesday 6/3/03 - 9:04:22 PM EST (GMT-5)
I was refering to Lexus's post on military supplies, not LSD's...
18 yrs ago, 11 mos ago - Tuesday 6/3/03 - 9:05:09 PM EST (GMT-5)
Siege of Troy... Agamemnon... what century am I living in...<checks with family>. Okay, it is not 1184 B.C.E. Apparently, I've been told it is now 2003 C.E. So I would have hoped that by now we could attempt... just attempt... for fun... you know... to not do the things we slaughter others for doing.
18 yrs ago, 11 mos ago - Tuesday 6/3/03 - 9:06:51 PM EST (GMT-5)
Sweet. I'd like some money with that guy on it! Luxury items? As if it makes a difference. Right now, it costs a drachma a day to finance a calvaryman, and from that, he must pay his squire. We pay our men well, but the prospect of gaining riches from routing the enemy is the greatest influence on our men who go to war. If we did not take luxury items, what on earth would we give to Pythian Apollo and all the other gods? Whatever would we donate to the temples and oracles?
18 yrs ago, 11 mos ago - Tuesday 6/3/03 - 9:08:44 PM EST (GMT-5)
Yeah, I don't pray for any of the women I know fighting there either. Just the men.
18 yrs ago, 11 mos ago - Tuesday 6/3/03 - 9:08:57 PM EST (GMT-5)
2003 C.E. Have you gone mad?
18 yrs ago, 11 mos ago - Tuesday 6/3/03 - 9:10:50 PM EST (GMT-5)
My husband slightly believes so, but I'm not sure for the same reasons. What makes YOU think I'm mad?
18 yrs ago, 11 mos ago - Tuesday 6/3/03 - 9:14:21 PM EST (GMT-5)
*a great flourish of the broadsword in your general direction* Are you implying that I have lost my wits?
18 yrs ago, 11 mos ago - Tuesday 6/3/03 - 9:16:47 PM EST (GMT-5)
As the namesake of Athens and goddess of war, I demand tribute *pounds spear at footside*
18 yrs ago, 11 mos ago - Tuesday 6/3/03 - 9:17:10 PM EST (GMT-5)
Well you should really keep a better track of them. They can easily scurry away.
18 yrs ago, 11 mos ago - Tuesday 6/3/03 - 9:20:48 PM EST (GMT-5)
Now you speak in riddles. Enough with you. *black look* Athena wants her donations and, as god fearing people, we are here to give them to her. As soon as I can get my trireme loaded up, I'm sailing for Iraq to capture some loot.
