I have funny hiccups (sounds like high-pitched burps), but I just laugh off my embarassment & pretend I'm trying to do it continually on purpose! So, basically, it's not that embarassing to me! :)

This question made me laugh really hard because occasionally my public hiccups will mortify me. They're really loud and spasmodic and uncontrollable and they hurt, and I can never stop them and I dont know when they are going to come. Its very embarrasing.
