No, we should let nature alone except for medicine, we should use medicine to keep us alive, but we shouldn't just let everything just 'go natural', too ugly, too hairy,
19 yrs ago, 3 mos ago - Tuesday 4/1/03 - 8:19:25 PM EST (GMT-5)
No, it is imposible to control nature. Let's not try to play God here. We should savour the little nature we have left.

19 yrs ago, 2 mos ago - Sunday 4/13/03 - 4:47:48 PM EST (GMT-5)
Should we try? I don't think humans can help themselves.
19 yrs ago, 2 mos ago - Sunday 4/13/03 - 4:51:30 PM EST (GMT-5)
All creatures try and control their environment to the best of their ability and in the end they all fail and die out eventually.

No i don't think we can.
19 yrs ago, 2 mos ago - Sunday 4/13/03 - 4:55:25 PM EST (GMT-5)
Also trying to control nature is only natural so in the end nature controls us regaurdless.
19 yrs ago, 2 mos ago - Friday 4/25/03 - 4:24:31 PM EST (GMT-5)
We'll try, no doubt about that, but we won't be able to. Not completely anyways.

Sometimes it would be nice to be able to induce rain during a horrible drought, or break up hurricanes and tornadoes...

You can TRY..... But nature will not be controlled...subdued maybe, to some extent, but watch for the backlash!
18 yrs ago, 11 mos ago - Monday 7/21/03 - 5:04:11 AM EST (GMT-5)
If we can control nature, then obviously nature let us for a reason,so we arent' really controlling nature,it's all still natural. if nature didn't want us controlling it,we wouldn't be able to
18 yrs ago, 11 mos ago - Monday 7/21/03 - 5:07:04 AM EST (GMT-5)
There are examples of us already controlling nature, however their are some things which would be very dificult.
18 yrs ago, 10 mos ago - Thursday 8/21/03 - 1:35:09 AM EST (GMT-5)
That the problem with people messing with things that should not be messed with. Aren't we all messing with nature in our own little ways and it's causing enough trouble. Hey I guess some will never really learn.
15 yrs ago, 6 mos ago - Tuesday 12/26/06 - 1:51:46 PM EST (GMT-5)
if we do we'll just end up like in a hole
15 yrs ago, 6 mos ago - Tuesday 12/26/06 - 2:01:22 PM EST (GMT-5)
No, just let it be and stop destroying it!
15 yrs ago, 6 mos ago - Tuesday 12/26/06 - 2:01:44 PM EST (GMT-5)
Nature is far more powerful than we are currently, but it's only a metter of time before we control it in it's entirety. We do control parts of it currently (damns, deforestation) but nature isn't one unified object, and it's certainly not a conscious being, as some of you talk about it.
15 yrs ago, 6 mos ago - Tuesday 12/26/06 - 8:31:09 PM EST (GMT-5)
No, we shouldn't.
15 yrs ago, 6 mos ago - Tuesday 12/26/06 - 9:18:30 PM EST (GMT-5)
There's no way. It's power outnumbers ours by a long shot.
