Well they never fought for their country, didn't die in battle. I'd say no although they should be honored, maybe they should get their own cemetery. Keep in mind that there is not a lot of room left in Arlington it should be conserved for war heroes.

Astronauts tend to be military officers--they should be entitled to full military burials. Especially if they are 'killed in action'. It should be up to their families to decide if they should be buried in their home town or not.

I agree with everyone's comments about astronauts having their own cemetery. "War drew us from our homeland In the sunlit springtime of our youth. Those who did not come back alive remain in perpetual springtime -- forever young -- And a part of them is with us always." -- Author Unknown

They should be buried where they want to be buried. I expect all astronauts should be intelligent enough to specify such arrangements before they get into the rocket.

"Well they never fought for their country, didn't die in battle." You don't have to die in battle or actually fight in a war to be buried in Arlington National Cemetary.

I can't think of a good reason for them not to be buried there.

They should build a memorial at Arlington for them. I also support the idea of burying future space casualties in Arlington.
