I just read this and I'm stunned. Maybe I'm totally wrong, but how will duct tape and hand washing help against a biological attack?

I think I would take really deep breaths. I would rather die in a few minutes than drag it out for a few hours. Or however long it'd take.

This reminded me on how the government used to tell the soldiers who participated the nuclear bomb testings: don't breath in ratioactive material.

Duct tape from Ace Hardware will save you from anything... or so our government claims.

LOL that's insane. But I do think duct tape fixes anything...that and WD 40. But no, thats silly. Whatever makes you feel better, though.

with the tape your suppse to seal your doors and windows shut.... so no air boirne things can getinto your house...
so you cant get out.... to get food or water and you'll die anyway....
anyway by the time you duct the whole house you'll be dead anyway

It comforts people to to something, even if it is useless. But if air can get through the cloth, so can pathogens and poisons. If the problem area is VERY local, getting away and washing hands (and body and cloths) might do some good. Even then, probably useless.

In the 60's, we use to say, "Get under your desk, bend over, and kiss your ass goodbye."

Depends on the chemical or biological attack... Yes, as I have already said on another post, I enjoy posting on stuff I know nothing about.

It'll help but I think the effect would probably be worst than just needing to cover your mouth.
