I say that it ain't right to use the church for such a secular event like that, especially if it's more prone to involve drinking... I'm not sure whether it's alright to hold the event in church, if another room is used, not the sanctuary... I'd feel more comfortable, though, if we actually get to go to the pastor or reverend's home to chill.
