Tonight's Fear Factor was the most disgusting one I've ever seen. Did anyone else catch it? They ate pizza - the crust was from liver bile, the sauce was congealed blood, and there was molded cheese, live worms and fish eyeballs on it. There was so much blood sauce on the pizza slices it was running down their mouths and they had to sop it up off the plate and even eat the drips. I don't think I've ever seen a more disgusting display ... all 4 of them did it too!! My fiance and I were saying in the next few shows they are just going to have to literally eat sh*t ... that's the only thing left I'm sure! Ughhh....but I can't stop watching, that's the sad part, LOL :P

You mean the " I'll do anything for money " show ? I say test the limits of people and see where it goes.

Maybe but I think its interesting for us because I never get to see people eat those kinds of things Do you?
19 yrs ago, 3 mos ago - Monday 1/27/03 - 11:18:03 PM EST (GMT-5)
Well, they aren't forcing them to do it though. The contestants can always say no and walk away.
19 yrs ago, 3 mos ago - Monday 1/27/03 - 11:18:52 PM EST (GMT-5)
Some people already eat that stuff IRL.

How can they be going to far, it's not like they're even asking people to do something dangerous. It's perfectly edible, it just has a social stigma attached, thus why it's used. There would be absolutely no point if they started dissallowing stuff like that.

mmmm...horse rectum *droo...hey wait um, nevermind
19 yrs ago, 3 mos ago - Tuesday 1/28/03 - 12:39:48 AM EST (GMT-5)
are those things real? i always figured they were all just "props"... or whatever.. anyway, yeah i agree with wolf. its not dangerous, and those people actually want to, if they think its too gross they can just pass and not get the money. i dont see what the big deal is. if it gets too disgusting, just change the channel =)

i didnt think blood, and rotten cheese were safe to eat?
19 yrs ago, 3 mos ago - Tuesday 1/28/03 - 12:58:02 AM EST (GMT-5)
It's gross but if people do it I guess they have not taken it as far as they could.

Fear Factor doesn't yet turn my stomach as much as the surgery channel does.
19 yrs ago, 3 mos ago - Tuesday 1/28/03 - 11:35:40 AM EST (GMT-5)
That is why it is called fear factor. These things have been eaten at sometime. The horse rectums were actually cooked. People who eat liver eat liver bile and blood. So far nothing eaten has been harmful in itself, though I suppose someone could get food poisoning if the food was set out too long. I actually think the amounts they have to eat do the most "damage." A lot of times contestants seem to eat more than they usually would eat in a normal meal.

Did you see the one where they had to sit in like a pool full of live scorpions? That was pretty cool
19 yrs ago, 3 mos ago - Thursday 1/30/03 - 2:33:55 AM EST (GMT-5)
All that stuff goes into what you eat anyway.

The next episode looks crazy, it's called the 'gross episode' or something, it had it on my guide. They have to bob for something in a vat of cow's blood (that's a clip you see in the opening credits, I always wondered when they'd do it) and they have to crawl through a sweage pipe and pick up dead skunks, LOL ... I could do all that, I just could never eat the stuff they show. I'd be on Fear Factor if I'd know I didn't have to eat anything gross. They could stick a tomato or some seafood in front of me and I wouldn't be able to force either of those down - and that's stuff most people love, LOL :P

Horse rectums? Now that's just wrong...
19 yrs ago, 3 mos ago - Tuesday 2/4/03 - 10:37:13 PM EST (GMT-5)
mmmm...broiled horse's rectums..now that's good eatin'..
19 yrs ago, 3 mos ago - Wednesday 2/5/03 - 10:11:04 AM EST (GMT-5)
That gross episode wasn't even that gross. The dunking in blood was nasty but that was about it - I thought the blood and fish eye pizza was a lot nastier than that... :P
19 yrs ago, 3 mos ago - Monday 2/17/03 - 5:58:06 AM EST (GMT-5)
Yes; that's not fear, that's disgust.
19 yrs ago, 2 mos ago - Saturday 3/1/03 - 1:10:41 AM EST (GMT-5)
Reality TV is evil.
19 yrs ago, 2 mos ago - Saturday 3/1/03 - 1:12:05 AM EST (GMT-5)
Hey! Some of that stuff is considered a delicasy in some places. Like the boiled chicken fetus is a Filipino dish.
19 yrs ago, 2 mos ago - Monday 3/10/03 - 12:07:56 PM EST (GMT-5)
Like it makes a big difference. All you have to do is not tell them what they're eating, and they'll be fine. But that's not the point. Reality TV must go away.
19 yrs ago, 2 mos ago - Monday 3/10/03 - 12:12:54 PM EST (GMT-5)
Pigs overies invairiably go in the hot dog mix. Horse rectum is the traditional lining of bratwurst.

Do you want $50,000? Do you want $50,000? Alright then.
19 yrs ago, 2 mos ago - Monday 3/10/03 - 10:48:38 PM EST (GMT-5)
I wouldn't ever want $50,000 that bad! Tonight's show in Vegas was pretty cool though :) Last week I saw something I was actually pretty impressed with - two guys and two girls made it into the second round, and they were supposed to eat moldy head cheese with maggots crawling all through it. So the first guy, this huge macho guy, spends a good 10 minutes choking this stuff down. He's CRYING and gagging but he actually did it. He was still crying afterwards and said it was the worst thing he ever did in his life. Then this other big guy was up next - he picked up the bowl, waited for the countdown, then when Joe told him he could start he threw the bowl down on the ground, pointed at the other guy and called him a fool, then he walked away. I was impressed he actually realized some of those things are worth a lot more than $50,000... :P
