Now, she is clearly referring to religious idea of karma, a concept prevalent in Eastern religions such as Buddhism and Hinduism. The law of karma is essentially "for every event that occurs, there will follow another event whose existence was caused by the first, and this second event will be pleasant or unpleasant according as its cause was skillful or unskillful".

Now, you see, what I did was take the idea of karma being a country, thus implying that the eagle was a citizen of a country called Karma. If you read the story, you would see that the incident took place in Sweden and so all beings concerned must acually have been resident in Sweden at the time. Therefore, using all of the above knowledge, I made a joke - no, the eagle isn't from karma, it's from Sweden!
