It sounds stupid to me.
"He was so mad that he was yelling and swearing all over the place!"
See? No need to create a saying for it, there is a word that already exists. If you feel the need to be specific about which swear word was being used, just say it.
"He was so mad that he was yelling and shouting drat all over the place!"
The expression "dropping F-bombs" is just stupid.

The autocensor has changed from 'frick' to 'drat'. Funny...

"Dropping F-Bombs" sounds like he was farting.
I have never heard "F-Bomb" used in place of the magic word (to use another euphemism).

I agree, AussieMike, it does sound stupid.
"SHUT THE F-BOMB UP!"
I also agree with you Killraven, it does sound like that..

My boyfriend says it a lot talking about people at work - he'll say something like "I got a big F-bomb dropped on me today by a customer" ... or he works with a black guy that gets "The N-Bomb" dropped on him. I think he picked that phrase up from people he works with, but now I've been hearing other people say it and I've read it places too. I think it's a strange thing to say, LOL ... When I first heard F-Bomb I thought it meant a fart too

LOL but Pinki you wouldn't use it in that context. If someone said it to you, "Shut the F-ck Up", then you'd say "Someone dropped the F-Bomb on me today!" LOL :P

It's a big sports talk radio phrase. That's how I know it, but not from Jim Rome. I can't stand him.

I've never heard anyone use that term...I think people would get made fun of if they did in my school.
