I am a little worried about the security at the Lucas Hights Reactor here near Sydney. There have been some serious breaches lately. But the only reason that reactor exists is to create radioactive medicines for cancer treatment. I doubt that it is very high on any terrorist's hit list.

We don't have any nuclear power plants. It's all water or wind generated.

Lucas Heights is about the only reactor we have, and it is that pissy that a 7 year old with a pea shooter could break in. BFD !!!

If I were a terrorist I would want the experimental/test reactor fuel. However, it would be a joy to actually watch some poor foolish terrorist group actually attempt to steal it. (they would instantly melt)

The US is not any more prepared than we were on Sept. 11, 2001. We have no idea where the next attack will be.

oh wow we'd all die if the power plant right next to us got attacked. i mean i HIGHLY doubt it would EVER happen. but if it did the "security measures" and "evacuation plans" wouldn't help at all

Not at all. I don't trust the security measures we have in place for anything.

I just saw a report on TV the other night about how Canada is storing its nuclear(Nucular for Bush fans) waste at the same location as the reactors, and how that spells catastrophe. We don't need much of a terrorist attack to make it all go *boom*

No, I think it would be quite easy to break into a nuke plant.

I've seen some of the security at local nuclear plants - so yes. I am very confident.
