Neither one is really mroe evolved. They are jsut better suited to their environment than the other. Insects are oppurtunists, making the best of a situationa dn environment. Whereas humans are changers, changing the environment to have it best suit them. There are amny cases that could cause one or the other to die off, it's just a matter of finding it.

I had a discussion about this sort of thing with a buddhist friend, about which was closer to reaching Nirvana. But I'm pretty sure bacteria would survive nuclear holocaust too, as would viruses.

I agree with dracino insects are more efficient at many things that humans are not(communicating, feeding)and thats just a few that we(humans)can't even begin to grasp, plus they can fly too. And that would be real cool.

If "social insects" (bees ants termites etc.) have almost a collective consiousness... if THEY had evoloved even a barely rudementery intellegence tomarrow, they concqour the planet by monday... the concept of a collective is so powerful that it is almost impossible to imagine...

that's why I'm a Borg fanatic.

Resistance is futile!
