KEVIN BACON makes me want bacon... I saw that this afternoon... it was really cool... The dude Lucas TIll( from Hannah Montana: The Movie) played was my favorite hero!!!!!!!

I liked it a lot. It was a little slower pace than the original few, but the factory stuff was neat. Also....
Wolverines part was great

I'm a little confused, just saw it a few hours and I have no idea what 'factory stuff' you're referring to?

I have no idea how factory replaced origin...damn auto correct. Origin stuff was what I meant.

I really enjoyed it. I wanted Iceman to be in the movie, but I guess based on the films he'd be far too young to be in this one, since he was a teenager in X-3.

It was OK. Fassbender was awesome, Bacon and McAvoy were OK, the rest didn't really register. Emma Frost's diamond form was lame.

Probably my favourite superhero film since Iron Man. Everything from direction to pacing to character set-ups and relationships were slick and spot-on.

Especially dug McAvoy in his role as Xavier; on the fence between a spritely young graduate with exciting plans and the wiser, emotionally calculative professor that he grows to become.
Fassbender takes the reigns of every scene he's in. All the right expressions with the undertone of anarchy, the control in relationship between himself and Charles is brilliant.

The "German Beer" scene is so perfectly "Inglourious Basterds". Love it.

Critics are up an arms about the subject matter (nuclear threat/that's not how it happened), but it's not like we're trying to be realistic here.
I take First Class for what it is, a super-hero series set-up, one which has been executed in a damn fine way.

It was a good, solid super hero movie. I liked it. Would see it again, but then again I am an X Men lover. I grew up on the cartoon for years.

The scene where Magneto destroys the ship with the anchor was BAD ASS

Great Film! Bacon is a good villain. Magneto and Charles's bromance was EPIC!

January Jones did a good job with Emma Frost. That was a hard role to pull off. With the excesses of her wardrobe and powers, understated acting was the right way to go.

I also liked the development of Mystique. You feel for her. And it made sense that she left for Erik because the Professor didn't seem to understand her alienation. There was lip service but Erik clicked with her.

January Jones is gorgeous, I never understood why she gets little attention for that in the media. Far less beautiful and not so talented actresses get call hot all the time.
She is the band geeks sister and she is awesome dammit.

She certainly is.

But I think it's the frat cinema role call that gets the most attention, because it's female cast are used as poster girls. "Look at this girl. She's hot, isn't she? Now watch the damn movie".

January Jones is pure and classic Bond girl material. No over-stated sexiness, just a presence that gets you a little hot under the collar.

Then kicks your ass.

I personally loved this movie. I was hoping for another X-Men: Origins, but they kind of covered them. At least the more prominent ones.
I totally saw Hank being Beast once we met him, though. Plus, he was a total dick when he ]brought in the serum to Mystique, and told her that they wouldn't be seen as beautiful, even in the mutant world.

I found this movie to quench my thirst for more X-Men movies. I squealed *quietly* when Wolverine got his shot in the film, too.

What I want to know is, where was Stan Lee?

He said on Twitter that the movie was filmed overseas and he couldn't get over for a cameo.

Feels wrong to have a Marvel movie without him.

He was one of the main characters but Emma erased your memory. And she did it in high heels.

Oh, god. No wonder I blacked out for 3/4ths of the movie!

He missed X2 and Ghost Rider aswell.

I'm not sure if he "missed" Ghost Rider.

I wish I had a groovy mutation

But seriously, I loved this movie. Mostly because I grew up watching SO MUCH X-MEN on Kids WB and had some lame story/comic books of them. I know I didn't grow up with all the super original stuff, but damn I enjoyed this. Nazi stuff makin' me cry, and sh*t.

acting was bad for most characters.

Kind of boring movie, borderline ridicule. At one point I was wondering if the submarine didn't come from Austin Power.

lazy screenwriting, going for a punchline...
11 yrs ago, 3 mos ago - Sunday 6/26/11 - 4:23:01 AM EST (GMT-5)
i thought the acting was great.

i loved this movie, what i really love is the consistency between all the X men movies, are they gonna do another origins?

what's next???
11 yrs ago, 3 mos ago - Sunday 6/26/11 - 1:16:48 PM EST (GMT-5)
I hope they will do another one, the premise is great, but they need a better team of writer/director.

11 yrs ago, 3 mos ago - Sunday 6/26/11 - 5:27:05 PM EST (GMT-5)
i dont know enough about x men to know who they could do next?

all the big ones have been done, no?

i suppose the laser-eye dude or storm?
11 yrs ago, 3 mos ago - Sunday 6/26/11 - 9:10:26 PM EST (GMT-5)
I thoroughly enjoyed this movie...it was fantastic! I'm such a huge fan of X-Men. The actors playing Magneto and Xavier were top notch.
