F for a movie stuffed to the gills with modern day Elton John songs. Pass.

Cute idea, but from the trailer the jokes look contrived and unfunny.

I'm sure it could be worse, but I can't imagine myself plunking the inflated 3d price... or even the regular inflated 2d price for this!

Probably worth a DVD rental since it seems like it could be amusing, but I won't see it in theaters

This looks poopy.

Oh God.

I pray that my little cousin will focus on Bieber and keep me from having to see this movie with her.

You'd rather go see JB's (lol) new film than this ?

Saw it with my brother and Aunt a few days ago. It was okay, not a total disaster.

I think they were really trying to insult the Shakespear Play, especially with the opening monologue and how they kept saying how it sucks that they die in the end.

I mean "The story you are about to hear has been told over and over again. It opens with a really boring Monologue..."

And my friend's sister didn't like how it was modernized so nobody died.

Gnomeo and Julliette is the best film in the cinemas at moment I think. The one Leonardo Di Caprio was in wasn't half bad either

Trust me, I would too.

I'd no doubt laugh more while watching the Beiber movie and wouldn't have to watch a great artist get insulted

This was weird.

It was pretty decent.

I didnt expect them to die. I went in thinking "its a modern animated kids movie, of course they wont die" but now that I think about it, I have absolutely nothing to back up that opinion.

I dont really like that they put in the scene with the statue of Shakespeare. Just seemed to add insult to injury.

I also really didnt like how Elton John directed and everything, and then filled every single background music opportunity with only his music. As if you dont have enough publicity and money, greedy bastard.

But. It was a cute movie. Not NEARLY as bad as a Justin Bieber movie would be. You just have to not go in thinking its going to resemble the play in any significant way.

Tried to watch this on the plane. Turned it off after 20 mins.

It exceeded my expectations. Which of course were that it'd be a steaming pile of horrible. And for animated kids stuff, it was half decent. Plenty of decent Shakespeare jokes, and at least it's introducing kids to a modernized version of a classic tale.

And my 4 and 6 year olds were entertained, which can't be said for a lot of kids' movies these days, in which they can get bored easily.

It wasn't half as bad as I expected! It was probably the best Romeo and Juliet movie version to date.
I wouldn't buy it.

They had a lot of cheesy shakespeare puns! drove me nuts lol. and they also said shroom and bong in it which i thought was bizarre.
