A Russian film about the German invasion of Russia as seen through the eyes of a boy who witnesses the war and massacres by the SS of entire villages firsthand. This is a really great film, but it is not for the squeamish because it does not hide or sugarcoat anything. Also, it is very very long film of a true descent into hell. Directed by Elim Klimov.
