You guys are assuming because the word "disposable" is used that it gets thrown in the trash.
Even a normal disposable camera doesn't get thrown away. It's simply a one use thing, for you that is.

Regular disposable: They take the film out, develop it, pop some more film back in and make sure the flash battery is good.

Digital disposable: They just transfer your pics to their server, print them off. Then delete and reset the camera settings.

This is a neat idea to know, but it's only worth it if you have the few tools you need, then you might as well do it.

How the hell can you guys not understand this poo. A regular digital camera is going to cost you a lot more than around 30 bucks. this is a pretty good idea. I don't know about you guys but we have soddering irons at our school.

How would you recharge the batteries? Through the USB, maybe??

I despise ompanies who try to make reoccurin gmoney off technology by trying to limit the technology. The companies deserve this hack, those greedy dumb drats.

if they can make a digital camera that cheap, then just sell it like it is, sheesh. Why try to steal and rape consumers, by adding false limits, gah i hate the world.

14 yrs ago, 3 mos ago - Saturday 4/14/07 - 3:28:54 PM EST (GMT-5)
yeah..that's too much work...i'd rather just buy a camera.

"Regular disposable: They take the film out, develop it, pop some more film back in and make sure the flash battery is good.

Digital disposable: They just transfer your pics to their server, print them off. Then delete and reset the camera settings."
which is a sucessful and evil way to earn money.
"Did knox do it yet?"

14 yrs ago, 3 mos ago - Saturday 4/14/07 - 4:16:04 PM EST (GMT-5)
Haha. How ghetto would it be to have a digital camera that looks like a disposable one?
14 yrs ago, 3 mos ago - Saturday 4/14/07 - 4:18:51 PM EST (GMT-5)
What about batteries? It isn't worth it if it doesn't turn on anymore after some time.
14 yrs ago, 3 mos ago - Saturday 4/14/07 - 4:41:48 PM EST (GMT-5)
I've never even seen a one time use digital camera, and I didn't know they existed.
14 yrs ago, 3 mos ago - Saturday 4/14/07 - 5:34:58 PM EST (GMT-5)
ewitsmana: OR you could go down to your local low cost store, pick up a 1.3MP camera for $20-$40 bucks and not have to spend any more on the cables which someone pointed out on the first page was more than $5.

sertrbl: the disposable camera is a great idea, especially for people who need one really quick, don't need to worry about losing it, or forget their camera and don't want to buy one.

It's only an "evil" way to make money if someone is retarded enough to buy a disposable camera again and again and again without investing in a real film or digital camera.

Does this guy not believe in pauses between sentences?

Same here.

Talk about some Jack Bauer poo. I half expected him to say once the wires are attached you have 30 seconds before self destruction. Besides, there are plenty of decent cameras out there for cheap. One of my first digital cameras was a 3 pixel for $20 from Walmart. I find myself using that more than my piece of poo Cannon that I paid a couple of hundred for.

14 yrs ago, 3 mos ago - Saturday 4/14/07 - 7:20:47 PM EST (GMT-5)
Yeah... its like asking:
Would you like to go around the corner to BestBuy to buy a digital-camera or to go through a very complex process to hack a cheap camera to use it over and over again?
14 yrs ago, 3 mos ago - Saturday 4/14/07 - 9:13:41 PM EST (GMT-5)
I saw this on i-hacked.com for a $10 camera. And it was easier.

Still, the biggest question ever: WHY ON EARTH would anyone want a DISPOSABLE digital camera?? That can only multiply the electronic waste amount.

14 yrs ago, 3 mos ago - Saturday 4/14/07 - 10:02:29 PM EST (GMT-5)
...Uhh, you can buy a cheap digital camara for 20..I've got one without an LED desplay for 15. It's for kids, but it still works.
14 yrs ago, 3 mos ago - Saturday 4/14/07 - 10:13:05 PM EST (GMT-5)
Hmm, too much work for me. I'd rather just buy a digital camera.
14 yrs ago, 3 mos ago - Saturday 4/14/07 - 11:56:14 PM EST (GMT-5)
lol nop9001
just what I was thinking
14 yrs ago, 3 mos ago - Sunday 4/15/07 - 12:25:43 AM EST (GMT-5)
I think this is stupid. One thing that I bet all of you who like it never thought of: it probably doesn't take too many pictures either. Imagine how many times you would have to download stuff off the camera then.
