^ was thinking the same thing..Makes sense..Helium=Lighter-than-air, makes your voice all high.. Hexafluoride=Heavier, makes your voice deeper.

Helium I know cannot react with anything, they try to but it's impossible currently. Helium is totally and I mean TOTALLY safe to inhale as long as you have oxygen.

Huh, I gave it a second though...Since helium is lighter than air, it must be easier to get out of your lungs, where as this stuff stuck with him for a while, I guess 'cause with every breath he took in, that air kinda settled on top of the Hexaflouride. So..if you inhale enough, you may put yourself at risk for suffocation? Huh...I'd like to see this stuff react to water? Like would it sink or float. The guy DID say it felt like there was water in the balloon. Just a thought.

@DragonSageX, according to wikipedia it is a highly inert gas. It will not react with anything, it ways about 6 grams per liter, so that guy was a little bit off when he said it looked like the balloon was filled with water. Wikipedia: "According to the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, SF6 is the most potent greenhouse gas that it has evaluated, with a global warming potential of 22,200 times that of CO2 over a 100 year period" Not to be fooled around with.....

WIKI: Because SF6 is relatively slowly absorbed by the bloodstream, it is used to provide a long-term tamponade (plug) of a retinal hole in retinal detachment repair operations. In a further medical application, SF6 is employed as a contrast agent for ultrasound imaging. Sulfur hexafluoride microbubbles are administered in solution through injection into a peripheral vein. These microbubbles enhance their visibility of blood vessels, to ultrasound. This application has been utilised to examine the vascularity of tumours amongst other things. Can't be that damaging...
