If this was shot at 9000 FPS, this entire video spanned 0,961 seconds. That was the same lightning strike. |

Hey stoopid people, lightning strikes the same places all the time, with every storm, thousands of times a day, especially on soils rich in ferromagnetic elements (iron, nickel, cobalt) or minerals with strong magnetic domains from metal lattice bonds, as well as man-made objects like transmitter antenna & lightning rods ... Remember, opposite charges attract, so every negatively charged cloud will have a positively charged patch of Earth following it around, just waiting for a spot of high conductivity or higher elevation to shorten the path to ground... Seriously, how in Hell is lightning supposed to know where NOT to go? That's one of the most retarded myths I've ever heard.

Electrical current (an impulse transfer of electrons between dissimilar charges) travels at nearly the speed of light, or roughly 186,000 miles (that's 7 1/2 times around the diameter Earth) per second. So, even a 9000fps video, the lightning should be an instant flash (like the smaller discharges in the distance). What causes these 4 larger lightning bolts to travel so slowly? Why do 2 bolts seam to have charges traveling upwards? Do you know? I do... You're on the internet, use it!
