I've never face masked before. For a bunch of reasons: im allergic to most things topical, i dont care too much about the "beautiful glow" of my face, and these things are expensive.

But i thought id give it a try. But with a super gentle, not painful peeling mask. I specifically looked for gentle. I dont want to rip. I want to gently peel

First, it spilled all over me when i opened the jar. Then i tested some on my arm. It came off alright. Bit itchy. And semi painful with the wispy hairs.

So i put some on my face. Nose and forehead. No need to go whole hog yet.

Its drying.

One thing i did not anticipate is my lack of glasses. Since the goop is on my nose. Which means i cant watch tv or such for the 20 minutes its drying. My nose is literally 2 inches from my tablet to type.

I also feel a bit HP Petrified. Stone.

Oh no. I have to sneeze. My face might crack like glass.

Hi.

I will say, it's very cold for the first 10 minutes.
Smells lovely though.
I wonder if my husband will let me mask and peel him.

I like the ones from the Body shop, especially the charcoal guy

I got a random one with good reviews from amazon

Or maybe it's a huge brand, i don't know

I made goulash yesterday for the first time. It's DELICIOUS. Which is very surprising since i had no idea what i was doing. Took forever too. I kept having to add water.

Husband likes it. Which means i have to figure out how to sneak veggies into it, since it's mostly just beef and pasta.

I wanna try that black mask that's supposed to hurt like a bitch to take off. Problem is, my skin is super sensitive, which means it'd probably hurt WAY WORSE for me than most.

I have the honey one from there, it’s pretty good.

The rose one from Fresh is nice and gentle.

I honestly like the cheapo masks that Freeman makes the best.

You can put soooooo many veggies into goulash. The ones I make are mostly veggies.

I use L'Oréals masks.
Cheap and cheerful.
But I'd love to try some herbal ones. That aloe Vera one looks good.

I have been watching a dermatologist channel on youtube and she goes into common stores and tells you which items you should get and which to avoid. In her opinion, these masks do nothing. She says to get them just for fun, but be careful of the ingredients.

That said, I have so many sheet masks I have yet to use. Maybe I should put one on tonight and scare my husband with it.

I use a shea butter mask, but I don't know if it actually does me any good. It just feels nice and I like doing it. Definitely a drugstore brand that wasn't expensive, though I'm out right now and can't remember the brand.

I like the charcoal exfoliating masks. Scrape scrape scrape.

Tbh, i enjoy the peely ones but my skin is crazy sensitive and prone to breakouts so I avoid most skin products. Cetaphil cleanser and that's about it.

I think the sheet masks are garbage. The clay ones make my skin feel amazing and help me with oiliness.

I baked things.

Wedding dress window shopping; good idea or bad idea?

We are going to have a wedding eventually. But eventually. No date in sight.

Also, the vanilla balls in the top picture are addictive. Mmm.

You guys have been legally married for years, right?

I don't see that it could hurt, but I def wouldn't buy anything now since you have no date.

Yep. 4 years i think? We're really bad at keeping track
But it was so.. subpar. It was cute and everything, kinda. But we were surrounded by co-workers we had known about a year. I was getting bit by a yellow fly through the entire vows. The reception was awkward and half the guests got food poisoning from the potluck. My dress was from macys, kinda cute, but i went dress shopping with my co-workers, who couldn't give two poos, and I'd really like to do the whole, go with my mom and mil to get a dress from an actual dress place. And go with my sister to taste test cakes instead of making it myself. And walk down an aisle with my family there instead of practically strangers, in a park, where we all walked in together.

Oh yeah, def wouldn't buy anything But might get an idea of styles? Though they'd probably be out of style by the time we have a ceremony

I always wanted my stepdad to walk me down the aisle, but he's passed now.
And my bio dad is crazy. I don't want him to walk me down. I barely want him there. But thats going to be a fight.

Hes was super "hurt", as he told my mom, that he wasn't invited to our wedding in VA. with no one else we knew. That was rather last minute. And barely more than a courthouse wedding. My mother tried to explain, no one was there. But. Hes just. Exhausting. I don't really have contact with him anymore.
SO not looking forward to that part

But the rest! I really want to do stereotypical wedding stuff. My grandparents are 94 and 85. I don't think its going to happen in their lifetime. Which just makes me sad.

Maybe i shouldn't window shop

I remember you posting photos, tbh.

cuck and I eloped, but there was literally no one else there but he and I. I still wore a dress and we got married at a chapel, though.

I thought maybe what we had would be enough for me. But. It's not i mean, I'd be fine if we never did the big shebang. But i so want it.i hate how stereotypically girly i am about it
1 yr ago, 10 mos ago - Wednesday 9/4/19 - 5:02:03 PM EST (GMT-5)
I mostly want to try on dresses with the mother folk, cake taste with my sister, and have people we love be there.
