I've got one massive migraine now. I've gotten them everyday since I was 9 (saw a doctor, he said migraines.) If you get migraines (or just headaches period) What normally helps you feel better?

Drink some water, turn off the lights, and lie down.

ibuprofen
and sleep
typically i'll take something to make me fall asleep quicker and stay asleep longer, in hopes the headache will be gone by the time i awaken
like melatonin

I don't believe you have a migraine. If you were having an actual migraine, your computer screen would be making you throw up.

true
i had a migraine the other day
and looking at the screen made me insanely nauseous
so i had to get offline

some teen girls pretend to have migraines so they can justify having eating disorders
there was a girl in my middle school choir class who would always say "oh i get really bad migraines so my doctor put me on this diet"
...i never saw her eat anything like ever

I sometimes get headaches, more often than I feel like I should.

But I've only ever had one migraine. And I classify it as such because everything made me dizzy and nauseous and the computer screen and I eventually threw up. Happened just a few months ago.

i used to get debilitating headaches every day
it lasted a year and a half before i ended up in the er
the doctor said it's an onset of headaches and there was nothing he could do about it
a year later, and i rarely get headaches
the noticeable difference is that my face isn't buried in a computer screen

I puked 3 times. When I made this journal entry I had a mild one. It wasn't as bad as it got that night, but I instantly got off after making this. I figured I see the comments in the morning because I get these everyday...which OTOH doesn't help me because I do school online.

Does your entire head hurt, or just one side.

Don't you get meds?

I don't get migraines but my Husband does and he is never without a prescription strength migraine med. Right now he uses Maxalt. There is also Relpax and Frova. Probably more that we don't know of.

And the bullsh*t has become even more apparent.

Firstly, if you'd had a migraine attack every day since age 9, there would be no part of your brain that hadn't been examined, poked, prodded and imaged by now.

Secondly, there is no such thing as a mild migraine. That's like being mildly pregnant.

My mild term meaning, it felt like hell at the time, but then it got worse. I thought the worse had hit..never got that bad before.
And as far as tests I've had multiple tests done before, it cost money to do that and we lacked it back then and now. So no, I haven't had every test done to help me out. Yes they hit me everyday at least once..but I doctor bills are sky high

I have been given T3 Motrin 800mg..went to the hospital once after a nasty fall (causing a concussion) and was given morphine..that was the only drug that helped. The others helped the first dose..after that I guess I was just immune to it and it stopped helping.

But I don't ALWAYS puke. Most times, but not every time. I've been told by medical professionals that not everyone pukes. It's just a common effect. (Just Saying) Really I just wanetd to know what others do to help them to see if it would help ease the pain of mine.

You can just stop there. I've been taking migraines for longer than you've been alive, I know more than you do. Your claim of taking a migraine every day since age 9 is just laughable. You would have gone insane.

And if (for the sake of argument) you had been taking migraines every day since age 9, there isn't a doctor, healer, shaman, or even homeopath who would allow you to be educated by one of the primary triggers for migraines, computer use.

I'm sure you know a lot more than me, so I agree there. I know that's one trigger. In my case I think head trama is my major trigger. 5 concussions...dangerous yeah, but still..Recent head trama. I'm probably just having some trouble from that even though it was a few weeks ago. I can't explain why I started having them so young, but I'm talking more recently now .
