I hate when my doors freeze shut. It seems to only happen on the mornings that I'm already running late

At least you have hot coffee and YT to keep company!

I didn't before-when I logged on the power had only been on for about 20 mintues-now all is right with the world-

Is there anything worse that sitting on an ice cold toilet seat first thing in the morning

I don't like ice storms at all, but I used to love being snowed in with my family. There is something really wonderful about the feeling of safety and security being all snug with good things to eat and a crackling fire going.

I hope it snows in Richmond this year.. I love the snows.
All the drivers FREAK OUT, though.. even at the sight of a flurry. Panicky dumbasses.

We got a pretty bad storm last night, lots of wind and ice- look in my journal. And I'm only in Central MA! Trees everywhere.. I may go out in a bit to take more pics.

I broke two of my umbrellas this week during these little storms.

ANd the power was out again for a little while-that's what I get for bragging!

Boston has been lucky enough not to get significant amounts of snow yet. I'm still jealous of my parents who are in the Caribbean right now.

Yeah-the power is flickering-

But the sun is out and it's all sparkling pretty-the sun reflects off the ice on the downed tree quite nicely-which means that there will be no salt trucks until it gets removed-

Ice storms do make for some stunning views though, that's for sure!

A year or two ago there were those huge ice storms in Europe and the photos along one of the coastlines was breathtaking!

you DO have a pretty crummy attitude.

sorry to hear about your situation, but you're okay, and that's good!
i hope you don't have to go out into that anytime soon.

We don't really have ice storms in Idaho...

I do, however, still remember the winter where the forecast called for half an inch of snow and we got 14 inches in a blizzard.

K8 and Stifler- - -there is no way I am going out into that-I am missing one of the spikes that goes on your boots so I would slip and fall for sure-

I am NOT calling 911 and saying:

I have fallen down and I can't get up

We got over an inch if ice and if it's not sealed it's down on the ground-this KILLS the trees and bushes-it breaks them and insects get in through the breaks come Spring-and then you see acres of dead branches/limbs and it's sad to see-

I remember when it snowed over here, last year
but that was in july, and right now, we're in summertime
13 yrs ago, 8 mos ago - Friday 12/12/08 - 1:54:02 PM EST (GMT-5)
we got all of the rain at the bottom of that storm.
2 days and nights of constant pouring rain.
every time steve commented upon it, i said, "hey, at least it's not ice or snow!"
