I hate kimchi. My step-mother is from Seoul, and tried to get me to eat that nasty stuff.

It's really spicy cabbage soupy stuff that's usually sold in jars. Prevalent in Korea.

Hmm- I really like cabbage, and spicy food in general, so I would probably like it. There aren't any restaurants here that have Korean food, which sucks, because I have never tried it, and now I want to. I know I'm weird because most ppl I know hate cabbage, but I think it's so good, especially when it's simmered for hours with some brisket. It makes you fart a lot though.

I've found it in regular grocery stores and asian grocers. Cabbage farts aren't good!

Haha, no, their not, they last for hours, it seems.

We really don't have much of an Asian poplulation here at all, I haven't seen one store here, not like when I lived in California or Seattle, and all the restaurants are Chinese- American (mainly bufet style, yuck) or Japanese steak house types. And I have only seen Latino grocers here. Memphis is basically a soul food city. I really miss Vietnemese restaurants like I would see in California. They had some of the best food! There is ONE Indian cuisine restaurant here, though, thank god!
