The Engine EP by Langhorne Slim is one of my all time favorites.

A surprisingly large amount of Steely Dan and Van Morrison lately.

I’m also refusing to update my iTunes because it refuses to let me use my iPod Nano.

I did the research. That latest version should be airtight. It’s the last one made by Apple. They transferred the app to the Microsoft store a few years ago.

Still working fine.
3 months ago - Tuesday 6/21/22 - 8:18:22 PM EST (GMT-5) was the last Mac version but it’s obsolete now.

I now have 110 records.

Verified my Discog by counting them.

Only took me three or four tries.

The Joshua Tree.

Never actually sat down for a full listen.

Can anyone clue me into how it ends up by the end after coming out swinging so hard?

Go ahead. Anti-spoiler me.

I have to go eat at the bar soon because I’m still a degenerate.

The Joshua Tree.

U2’s greatest album.
Bought it on cassette in 87 when it was released.
Then CD. Then digital download.
Amazing album.
Bono is still a pretentious prick, but in ‘87 he got this one spot on.

I was stationed in 29 Palms California in 87-88. It's right outside the Joshua Tree National Park. I've been to a lot of places on the album art.

Dave is correct, It's their best album

I’ve listened to a lot of Van Morrison again lately.

Them is pretty great too.

I think I’m in the Moondance camp personally.

A playlist of punk/post punk/new agey and alternative stuff.

It’s titled 85-95.

Shuffling for a couple days now.

That playlist played for like a week straight and it played every song.

Now I e got electronic stuff on but I’m getting too zoned.

Classical vinyl for Sunday morning is the remedy.

Electronic music can be mantra and it can be not mantra. But just music. I have to kind of soak into it. I’m fully soaked after a couple evenings. It’s comforting. A lot of listening while doing repetitive tasks at the medical device facility.

Mostly English, German. Otherwise mostly NY based. Australia a bit. More German than anything I think though. Or more German influenced. Kind of sets the pallet. Enough variation.

My techno can be a bit much. Or the techno I downloaded. Some gems though. Not much on Aphex Twin really. He’s a bit of a Harry Potter character sometimes. I mean he’s very good and he can build worlds but sometimes abrasive repetition that leads to nothing better sounds better.

I’m not listening to this at the moment but…

Holding On by Julio Bashmore is a great song. The song I’m listening to made me think of it.

It’s droppy and a nice sample.

I have a playlist called post 90 and I really like it. It’s pretty consistent.

Just “post punk” after 1990.

A good amount of Radiohead. Math rock. Mars Volta At the Drive In. Fugazi Sonic Youth.

Morning Bell by Radiohead at the moment.
