I’m referring to that song by Journey or Foreigner or Boston or whatever. It’s actually a kind of dark lyric if you look at it right. It’s not like hey... Who's Online | Find Members | Private Messages

It’s just a cleaner with bleach in it.

There was mildew or mold or something. The bathroom is poorly ventilated.

So o spent my morning with my aunt and uncle. From about eleven to noon at least. My aunt was worried that my uncle might be running a fever so she had me buy a thermometer. It was 4 dollars.

She offered tea and I sat for a while. My uncle was a preacher so I talked about my Bible reading. I figured out how to connect their laptop to the television so they could watch sermons on Facebook. They’ve had a difficult time getting to church on Sundays. My uncle is in poor health lately.

He suffered a brain tumor years ago and is dealing with the effects that the radiation had. He might also have Parkinson’s like my grandmother.

He has physical therapy today at three. They’re hoping it helps make things easier. I think he’s scheduled for a speech therapist next week as well. It’s something I try and keep in mind.

But it’s only a week and a half before the trip. Im just hoping...

...that work doesn’t leave me completely stressed before my vacation. I think they might be throwing more at me now so they can handle things more easily when I’m gone for a week. Two weeks actually. But one week of training afterwards

That’s really a blessing that I’m able to do that. I have my webcam working. They ordered a headset.

The bad part is it’s going to be 8-430 so it’ll offset my schedule. But I should be on an earlier schedule from vacation anyway.

I hope I don’t drink too much on vacation. I hope my family doesn’t intervention me and withhold alcohol either.

Osaka beat Williams in Australia.

While I hate to see Williams lose, I'm happy to see Osaka playing well again. Maybe it's time for the passing of the torch...

I hope Brady makes a match of it.

I really want to see the Medvedev Tsitsipas match though. I don’t know when that’s happening. Possibly tonight.

At 3:30 in the morning. Probably going to miss that.

Oh well.

Just caught the replay.

Doesn’t look like I missed much.

I only caught the tail end. It wasn’t very close. I mean the third set was closer. I only saw a break and a hold of service. Replay coverage probably started at seven and I turned it on at 830 or so.

I won’t spoil it.

But I’m definitely getting the pre-vacation jitters. Really hoping that I can have a quieter week next week. There’s quite a few jobs going now so I should be able to stay busy in that regard. There’s also a list of gauges that need to be calibrated that I’ve only started.

If I could run in process and catch up on calibration and go home at eleven every night that would be ideal.

I have to go from work next Friday to my parents’. And we leave early in the morning. Got to find time to pack my stuff between then and now.

My liter of gin lasted me two weeks this time. That’s good, right?

And I am supposed to get my beer club beer today. Also good.

Must wish the manic energy away.

Well at least it’s Friday. And at least I get to go on vacation soon.

I was on my way back from bringing wood up at my grandmother’s and a deer ran out in front of my car. I feel like I could have reacted sooner. I don’t think I could have with the tree line.

It was kind of like a chip shot. Caught underneath it and flipped it up into the air. The worst was that there was a truck coming the other way at the same time. It kind of sailed right in front of him. I thought it was going to land on his windshield. Thankfully it did not.

And when it did land it landed off to the side of the road. It was at a full sprint when it hit me so it had considerable momentum.

The passenger side headlamp lost its casing. The lights still work. The front end is a little worse looking now. But the hood still opens. I don’t think it damaged the radiator or anything.

Stupid deer.

No really I hit a deer with my car and killed it.

It happens often around here.
11 months ago - Saturday 2/20/21 - 12:35:35 AM EST (GMT-5)
And a machine broke at work.

But everything’s okay.

God is good.

Is the deer going to be soon featured on the 'What's for Dinner' thread?

Too bad about your car (and the deer).

I’m not that fully immersed. Mom’s family is from Connecticut, and Dad’s family is from Long Island. Not quite through and through country to put the deer on my car. I’m pretty sure it was dead though.

But my aunt had just given me the frozen sausage I mentioned in the dinner thread. After the incident I forgot the sausage in my car and it thawed. So in a more circuitous route yes. This decided what I ate for dinner tonight.

So for my beer club I got a Kolsch, a Pale Ale, a Porter, and an Amber Ale.

Trying the Kolsch now. It’s good. More traditional I think where it’s more of the German style, very beery. Like a Stella or a Heineken but it seems fresher and more flavorful.

I’m supplementing my intake with All Day IPAs because there’s only twelve beers from the beer club.
11 months ago - Saturday 2/20/21 - 7:25:59 PM EST (GMT-5)
The Pale Ale was good. Not particularly hoppy.
11 months ago - Saturday 2/20/21 - 10:08:41 PM EST (GMT-5)
Porter and Amber were sharp flavors. Maybe not as fresh tasting. A little on the malty/sticky side.
11 months ago - Saturday 2/20/21 - 10:09:57 PM EST (GMT-5)
Mixed in a mixed drink and a PBR tall boy at the bar so having a toasty Saturday night.

There must be a method to my madness.

I drunkenly woke up in time for the men’s final.
