American Remakes of Foreign Films - Mood:Good |
|
Thursday November 12 200910:18:43 AM |
| This week i have read about a few more of the more excellent foreign language films from over the past few years are being remade in America. The German film The Lives of Others, Swedish Vampire film Let The Right One In and Korean thriller Oldboy are all being remade into English language versions. There are no current details on IMDB for The Lives Others remake so ill start with Oldboy. Ok Spielberg is going to be making this with Will Smith as his leading man.... anyone who has seen Oldboy will know is going to be so wrong, the audience who will see those two names on the poster will not want to see Oldboy and therefore Hollywood will have to risk upsetting people for the pride of the film or destroy the film by making it audience friendly. |
