I'm a widow - Mood:Sad
Thursday October 30 20149:43:11 PM |
My husband died Saturday, October 25 2014 at 7:39 pm.

His funeral service was today. The plant (bakery) shut down production to be there. Three of his best friends spoke, along with the plant manager, my nephew, and surprising me completely, our oldest son. The one with autism.

He was cremated sometime after the service today. He had a traditional open casket service so we could all say goodbye. But he didn't want to be in the ground with a bunch of strangers. The urn is a mantle clock, has a place behind the clock for his picture, with his ashes behind that. I also ordered hearts that will have ashes in them for myself, my daughter, his sisters, and a cross for his father.

He donated his corneas. He didn't waste away-and he was afraid he would. He had a heart attack. His CT scan showed the tumors shrinking Oct 14th.

I'm a widow. What the hell. God, I miss him.
