Sometimes instead of being the listening friend, you gotta be the mean friend.... - Mood:Anxious
Friday January 13 20171:45:56 PM |
I'm the listening friend.
People tell me stuff, they always have. People feel comfortable telling me things in their life, knowing I won't judge, but I also won't try to fix and say "do this do that" I just listen and empathise.

Sometimes, someone needs to step in and actually say something though.

This was one of those times.

So lets set the scene.
6 people in my house.
My sister K
the boy
my other housemate whom I lived with previously E
my best friend and also the landlord D
her boyfriend ex boyfriend S

D and S have had a very rocky on and off relationship. She is a fixer, she likes to look after people and see's potential and tries to fix them. She's worked VERY hard with him.
He's a former (current?) addict, plays the victim card very well and imo a master manipulator.

Survived nearly another year. Have you heard of ambrosia salad? - Mood:Good
Thursday December 29 20163:15:03 PM |
New years eve eve.
Last day of work. Only going to make it on time with everything i need thanks to the boy organising me. Doing 8am starts are hell for me. Doing 8am starts when i finished at 7pm even worse.

We're having a food day for a colleague/friends birthday. I am making ambrosia salad. I made it on my first week out of training and now everyone loves it. I make mine with sour cream, tinned drained mandarin segments, tinned drained pineapple pieces, shredded coconut and mini marshmallows.

No one at my work had heard of it or tasted it before. Growing up as kids we had it all the time.

New years eve shall involve watching the fight at a pub with my sister and her friend and the boy and whomever is all at the pub. Then I'm not sure, fireworks on the hill probably. Need to contact my other friend to see what she's thinking, i get the feeling she's keen for the fight.

Things about things. - Mood:Good
Saturday December 24 20165:34:40 AM |
So this week has been a bit of a roller coaster. Christmas time will do that though.

Our house is disolving. Date for that is 13 February. That's fine. It was only ever a short term thing anyway, 6 people, one house, different personalities and other sh*t thrown in.

House hunting is sh*thouse, but I have positive thoughts we can find something. Not sure if sister is moving with us, and I haven't spoken to the house mate I lived with in my old house about whether he would want to move with us.

The housemate we were originally kicking out is partially the reason for the entire house being disolved. Originally he was supposed to be out of the house, but when it came down to it the house is pretty unhappy. Ok when I say the house it's more the owner has HER way of doing things, and if you don't do them to her exact standards you may as well have not done anything.
cnt.
