So, I'm like 80% decided that I'm going to break it off. - Mood:Good |
|
Sunday May 12 20133:04:06 PM |
| | Problem is, I've never dumped someone. I've always been the dumpee. So I have no idea how to go about it. I think the hardest thing when I've tried to have break up conversations before is the inevitable "But you said you were happy. Were you lying to me?!" questions. I wouldn't say I ever lie, but you do put on a facade. When you're unhappy but aren't sure what to do, you do tend to pretend that everything's fine. So, any advice from people who've been there? Anything I should/shouldn't do or say? I have a bad feeling she's going to get really angry and there's going to be drama. |

I think I made a terrible mistake. - Mood:Good |
|
Wednesday May 08 20137:23:40 PM |
| | My girlfriend has been flip flopping about what she wants to do after uni. She was going to Manchester but she decided not to for reasons I'm not clear on. She was then going to do a Masters here but can't find the funding and now has decided to get a job. She was meant to move in with a friend but he got a job elsewhere so she was freaking out about her living situation and I said something like "If you're really desperate, you can always stay with me for a bit" and somehow this has translated to we're moving in together. She's been showing me flats and I'm like "We should probably wait until I know my job is permanent (it's initially for six months) and you have one" but nah, she wants us to potentially move by the end of next month. Goddamn it. |

What are the general properties of cocaine? - Mood:Good |
|
Tuesday May 07 20136:03:49 PM |
| | There's a plate of white powder in the fridge at work and I'm torn between it being some sort of baking soda or high-grade uncut Colombian cocaine. I felt a bit and it was quite chalky. I sniffed it and it was odourless but then I realised that sniffing what might be a Class A drug is a slippery slope. |

I got a new job. - Mood:Good |
|
Friday April 19 20131:38:27 PM |
| | I'm now an online editor/writer for a website that gives tourism information and news for people coming to my city. I went into the interview and dude was like "So, I was meant to interview you and one other person, but she didn't show up, so you've basically got the job. When can you start?" Easiest interview ever. I'm looking forward to telling my current boss to gtfo. |

Since we`re doing interesting conundrums: Imagine you have a time machine. - Mood:Good |
|
Wednesday April 10 20134:33:32 PM |
| | This time machine can go back as far as you want. The beginning of life, if you want. The Egyptians, the Greeks, the Middle Ages, the Victorians. Whatever you'd like to see. You are immune from disease or death. You can see history unfold in front of your eyes. The sh*tter is that this machine can't bring you back. To get back, you will have to live the sum total of years between the date you went back to and the date you used the machine. So, if you went to 1513, you would have to live the 500 years in between. Again, you're immune to disease. You won't die. You won't age. You have a golden opportunity to observe history. Once you get back to 2013, your life will resume as if nothing happened. Would you do it? And what time period would you choose? What would you do? Assume that your presence won't change anything and everyone will just accept the weird-talking time traveller. |
