Sorry you can't date yr dog - Mood:Good
Wednesday November 15 20171:24:12 AM |
So I'd written this as a series of complaints, but it's all coming from my wounded ego.

So. The words "doggo," "pupper," doge-speak, the excessive animal baby talk, how it's suddenly popular to truly love animals more than other people love animals... didn't bother me before.

But now it's him. He adopted an adorable, well-behaved, lovable mix named Pixie. He re-named her Pixel but calls her pixelpup, pixelcake, pixelpoo.

She's a good girl. Yes she is.

Can't plan hookups without cutting into her walking time. Cleaning her eyes says "I'm going to make your eyes pretty!"

All I get is congratulated on turning him on.

He's casually asked more than once if I think he'd be a good dad based on the way he treats her.
He sent me a picture of himself looking adoringly at his dog.
Later I told him I enjoyed it.

His response was to sort of laugh and say "I enjoyed it too."

I don't know.

Small world over chamomile - Mood:Good
Saturday November 11 201710:03:51 AM |
1. Pharmacy w/in walking distance from work.
On "lunch breaks" now that it's colder (used to just take walks) I'll peruse the aisles, call my mother, ring up some snacks.

Cashier good-naturedly makes small talk & keeps up conversation 'til it's time to go.
He's become my bud. One stressful lunch break, asks if I enjoy tea, maybe I could use some.
Turns into offering to have tea with me on Friday, 6pm. New place down the street.

We learn each other's first names that Friday. Turns out, he studied history with Pineapple's husband and they all know each other.
