For the past 2 days i have felt this overwheliming sense of apathy slowly course it's way through my body... NOT a good feeling to have during finals week. I've been running on 3-5 hours of sleep a night for the past week and it's finally having it's effect... how convenient, my chemistry final is tomorrow (which determines if i get to keep an A or not). I'm also going through a Johnny Cash phase..... why the f8ck have I not spent my whole life listening to this stuf??? it's amazing. anyway, wurd to ya mother.

I was watching Mr. and Mrs. Smith for something like the 3rd time on HBO today when I noticed something 20 minutes into the movie... you see Anglina Jolie and Brat Pitt with a big cup of coffee SO many times in the movie. About 15 times, you see them either making coffee or drinking something out of a big cup, early in the morning, at the office, throughout their day and there's NO way it's a coincidence. At one point in the movie Jane even turns to some girls when she realizes what's going on at the office and says "Why don't you two go make some coffee?" Hell, it's even the beverage that sparked their passionate love (on the morning after they meet, he brings her a big cup of coffee). It's really suble because it's not a brand or a label or a corporation, it's just coffee. And only once or twice is it specifically referred to as (cont)

Los Angeles public transportation. I saw Bright Eyes last night. It was pretty buttflippin fantastic. Really though. I got lucky, oberst was totally sober and amazing. Grew out his hair I guess, and it felt like a performance, which is something I'd never expect from him. Somewhere in the middle of the night I was thinking "wow, i have been listening to a five minute harmonica solo and I love it." country music. Now there's something I NEVER NEVER NEVER though I'd like.

To come back here right now and be returning to my normal life almost feels like a huge joke.. I would almost believe that it didn't even happen if I wasn't actually there with other people and they're here today to remind me that it really did. Happen, that is. Just so I don't sound like a psycho, I'm talking about a concert. I went to go see This Bike is a Pipe Bomb last night at some warehouse that didn't even have a name in Downtown LA. The part where even the cops don't even come at night. First I was like holy crap what the HELL am I doing here??? And then I walked inside and I was completely blown away by the atmosphere, the kids, the people, the bands, it was the kind of thing you dream about. Yeha, I sound like even more of a psycho now. But honestly, I came home at 5 in the morning and I've never met so many people I've liked in one room in my life (me being a generally very negative person). Waking up 2 hours later to go to AP government class feels like a joke
