I don't spend much time actually in the hotel room, so they can leave the old one for all I care. I won't likely notice.
11 yrs ago - Friday 2/12/10 - 4:49:30 PM EST (GMT-5)
I'd be happy if they removed the TV altogether and charged me a few quid less for the room.
11 yrs ago - Saturday 2/13/10 - 2:47:03 AM EST (GMT-5)
I get a hotel room based on how close it is to the places I want to go to and how much it costs (and a few other things), what kind of tv it has is not even a consideration.
11 yrs ago - Saturday 2/13/10 - 3:10:48 AM EST (GMT-5)
Id much rather keep the old tv and not have the cost of new tvs raise the cost of staying there.

I dont go on vacation to watch tv so I wouldnt care if they had black and white tv's from the 70's.
11 yrs ago - Saturday 2/13/10 - 5:11:00 AM EST (GMT-5)
yeah i don't go on vacation to watch TV either, but at night its good to kick back, and crack open a beer, and watch something on the new TV.
11 yrs ago - Saturday 2/13/10 - 11:17:08 AM EST (GMT-5)
TV is TV... I don't care what it looks like or what kind of box it's in. And I don't watch much to begin with, let alone while on vacation.
11 yrs ago - Saturday 2/13/10 - 1:01:27 PM EST (GMT-5)
Doesn't matter to me. Flat-screen is nice, but if I can watch what I want to watch (which I wouldn't have much opportunity for as a hotel is mainly just for sleeping and you do other stuff while on a vacation), I don't care what kind of TV it is.

I don't care what kind of tv they have, as it will never be turned on during my stay.
11 yrs ago - Saturday 2/13/10 - 11:25:24 PM EST (GMT-5)
If it doesn't raise the cost of the room, I would go with the newer TV's.

As long as it works I could care less which one.

Flat screens take up less room.

I like the room with the CD/DVD player and the satellite channels that don't cost $5 each.

I once stayed in a Hotel in India that had 3 TV's in the room.

1 in the sitting room, 1 in the bedroom and 1 in the bathroom.

As long as it doesn't affect the cost of the room
8 yrs ago, 1 mos ago - Thursday 12/27/12 - 4:18:28 PM EST (GMT-5)
I'd prefer flat screens.
8 yrs ago, 1 mos ago - Thursday 12/27/12 - 4:29:17 PM EST (GMT-5)
I guess I like the flat screen. That is what I have at home. Although honestly, the last time I stayed in a hotel (which was only six nights ago) I did not notice what type of TV the room had.

This. Really. Who really cares when you're on vacation?
8 yrs ago, 1 mos ago - Friday 12/28/12 - 4:43:11 PM EST (GMT-5)
There are few reasons I use hotels, and none of them involved the television.
3 yrs ago, 7 mos ago - Wednesday 6/28/17 - 5:52:38 PM EST (GMT-5)
I never watch tv in hotel rooms.
3 yrs ago, 7 mos ago - Sunday 7/2/17 - 11:48:03 AM EST (GMT-5)
also a hotel non-viewer
last time, i did try netflix at one point but the wifi was sh*tty.
a better internet connection wouldn't be a bad improvement, actually
3 yrs ago, 7 mos ago - Sunday 7/2/17 - 11:55:35 AM EST (GMT-5)
A couple weeks ago we stayed at a Marriott that we could sign-in with our Netflix on their set to watch which was super-awesome.
3 yrs ago, 7 mos ago - Sunday 7/2/17 - 1:35:21 PM EST (GMT-5)
I like that this question is so old it makes no sense.

A regular television is a flat screen.

No one even makes tubes anymore.

On business trips it's good.

I don't want one at all
7 days ago - Friday 2/19/21 - 12:33:40 PM EST (GMT-5)
If it doesn't affect the cost, I'll take the best TV they have. If it does affect the cost, I'd be willing to pay a bit more for a good TV.
7 days ago - Friday 2/19/21 - 12:38:15 PM EST (GMT-5)
I couldn't care less if hotels have tv's at all. I want a comfortable clean room, a microwave, a fridge, a coffee maker and I'm happy.
Hot tub is nice too. Especially with company
