Not really. I rarely get mail anyway. All my bills are sent via email now. It'd be one less day of junkmail, so that would be nice.
11 yrs ago, 8 mos ago - Thursday 1/29/09 - 5:14:31 PM EST (GMT-5)
nah, five days is enough.
11 yrs ago, 8 mos ago - Thursday 1/29/09 - 6:29:57 PM EST (GMT-5)
Nope. They deliver it six days now. One day won't make a difference. Besides, you could use FedEx or UPS.
11 yrs ago, 8 mos ago - Thursday 1/29/09 - 8:38:19 PM EST (GMT-5)
Probably not, I usually don't get that much mail anyways.
11 yrs ago, 8 mos ago - Thursday 1/29/09 - 9:34:50 PM EST (GMT-5)
its the postal service it will be late anyway who cares? not me
11 yrs ago, 8 mos ago - Thursday 1/29/09 - 10:04:02 PM EST (GMT-5)
We only get the mail 5 days a week and we all survive
11 yrs ago, 8 mos ago - Friday 1/30/09 - 1:37:03 AM EST (GMT-5)
I would care.
Alot.
11 yrs ago, 8 mos ago - Friday 1/30/09 - 12:17:49 PM EST (GMT-5)
We only get mail 5 days a week here...I didn't know you guys had it more often...
11 yrs ago, 8 mos ago - Friday 1/30/09 - 12:48:27 PM EST (GMT-5)
I wouldn't care really but I'd give them Saturdays off. So what, there is a weekend without mail, give them a nice weekend off.
11 yrs ago, 8 mos ago - Friday 1/30/09 - 3:23:14 PM EST (GMT-5)
If they have to do that, I really hope that they don't get rid of Saturdays. I'm in class or work all weekdays long. I don't usually have time for errands. Saturday is my mail day.

I would think five days a week would be okay. Sounds like it is elsewhere...
11 yrs ago, 8 mos ago - Friday 1/30/09 - 4:36:28 PM EST (GMT-5)
If they totally stopped delivering mail, it probably wouldn't affect me all that much.

If it saved me lots of tax money, I'd be perfectly willing to pick up my mail at the post office once a week...

Well, even if they stopped delivering mail on Saturdays, the post office could still be open the 3 or 4 hours it is on Saturdays. It might make more economic sense to extend the hours. Say on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, the office stays open to 8 to accommodate people who work standard 9-5 jobs.
11 yrs ago, 8 mos ago - Friday 1/30/09 - 11:17:19 PM EST (GMT-5)
one less day of mail isn't going to hurt anything, I think if it helps the post office cut costs without having to raise the cost of postage or lay people off then it's a good option.
11 yrs ago, 8 mos ago - Saturday 1/31/09 - 12:39:18 AM EST (GMT-5)
No. I almost never get mail, anyway... and when I order something I have the patience to wait a little longer for it to arrive.
11 yrs ago, 8 mos ago - Saturday 1/31/09 - 1:01:15 AM EST (GMT-5)
I hope they don't. I like having almost any day for going to the post office. Especially Saturday.
11 yrs ago, 8 mos ago - Saturday 1/31/09 - 1:01:28 AM EST (GMT-5)
Excellent picture on this question, by the way.
11 yrs ago, 8 mos ago - Saturday 1/31/09 - 1:10:26 AM EST (GMT-5)
It wouldn't bother me much. It'd slow down all the junk mail I get.
11 yrs ago, 8 mos ago - Saturday 1/31/09 - 2:09:08 AM EST (GMT-5)
I wouldn't be MAD...just...inconvenienced

Just have the days off be Sunday and Monday - 5 days a week, but still open on Saturday.
